~~ Lowe's service ROCKS !! Finally I have a compliment to make to a store...it seems like most stores aren't customer friendly anymore....but LOWES did awesome for me today! Both my local store and Lowe's credit
We bought TONS of shrubs, plants, etc last year to landscape our backyard. Well 9 of the 14 Arborvitae we bought @ $30 ea died. Lowe's policy is 12m even exchange. Normally we are diligent about keeping our receipts, but cannot find this one at all. Heck we didn't even have a tag from one like we usually keep. So I went to the service desk and asked if they could look up the purchase from last yr since it was on our Lowe's card. She said she can only go back 90 days by payment-type search unless I knew the exact day it was purchased (ya right!). But she said that if we paid by Lowe's cc, the credit ppl might be able to find it.
So I call Lowe's credit and explain that we bought about 14 of these around this time last yr. Within 5 min she finds the purchase!!
Bad news, it was 4/30/08. ARGH, 3 weeks past the 12m mark. DH was ready to give up, but I said no way thats almost $300. The Lowe's Credit ppl gave me the invoice number, purchase total and date.
You can clearly tell by looking at them that they didn't just die in the past couple wks.
So today I call the store mgr and start my story. I don't even get to the point of saying you can tell they have been dead longer than 3 wks. He says, no prob bring them in w/ur receipt! So then I call the cust service desk to make sure they can look it up. She is able to pull up my receipt with that info and says its all set for when we come in.
