Lowes Home Improvement ~ Program: Which Lowes offer 10% military discounts year round - post yours here!

i just found out mine does. they just started doing this. i am in hampton roads, VA. it's 10% off to active AND retired ...YAHOO! that's one coupon i can remove from my wishlist :)

My understanding is that they used to offer this only on occassion and that they wouldn't give it if another discount applied. But recently, they changed it to be more competitive. They offer the 10% all the time and you can get it and combine it with another offer. Lowe's generally doesn't combine offers but is making an exception for our military, which I have to say is certainly well-deserved.

Being a former Lowe's employee, I can tell you that they do offer the military discount year round.

PM, I would call corporate. I started working at Lowe's in 2006. It was a new store. At first, we offered the discount to anyone who asked but advertised only ocassionally. Our normal policy is to only offer one 10% discount per transaction but when someone complained, we would give the the extra. Now we offer it all the time in order to compete with Home Depot. I can't be sure it is corporate policy, but I still recommend you checking it out. I work with a guy who was in the service and he gets his employee and military discount. I would bet if you called or emailed corporate that you would receive it.

In my opinion, those who fight for our country deserve a little consideration and if you are eligible for this discount, you should receive it.

Ours in Clinton, UT and Layton, UT and Riverdale, UT all have it!

I wish I had thought to ask them if they had it here. I just spent 200 bucks at Lowes. Thank your the head up though and next time I visit I will be sure to ask and if they say no I will call there offices to find out.

I just called corporate (after asking at my 3 Lowes) - all said no. They said it is not corporate policy for all Lowes to offer it all the time. It is up to the stores. They do offer it on special occassions corporate wide. I also emailed corporate - and got another no.

New policy at my Lowes and HD (Dover, DE) is 10% if you ask. They both did not offer if for a long time, but have started again. Might be time for everyone to recheck at their stores that did not offer it in the past.

We just found out about that 10% discount over the Memorial Day weekend. My husband asked and was told that they offer it ALL year round.!!!!
We just saved over $100 dollars on one transaction last week - as we have had to replace all the flooring in our home after being flooded.

I am in Volusia County Florida...and this was at the Lowe's on Dunlawton Ave.
