My Lowes in North Augusta, SC does it all year round too. Just found this out, though it was only Veterans Day, etc.

Maybe it makes a difference if your town is near a base?

Do they offer police discounts also?

Here in Lawton, OK (Ft Sill) 10% discount always. They have to call someone over to key it in, so that is a pain. Home Depot is right next door and they dn have an every day military discount.
FYI-- if you have a lowes q of some kind you can only use one discount. The register takes off the biggest discount. I know that our Lowes has been having the discount for about a yr.

Called corporate today, the official policy is (contained in FAQ also):

All retired, disabled and active military receive 10% off everyday. All other military receive 10% off on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans' Day.
