Lowes Home Improvement ~ Question: my 7.2 chest freezer isn't cutting it - any discounts available for energystar uprights?

Any one know of any discounts right now on energy star upright freezers? My old chest freezer is a teenie tiny 7.2. Wanting to upgrade to a 20.1 frost free model.

I feel your pain. We don't have an extra freezer at all right now and could use one. DH works at Lowe's and he hasn't said anything at all about a discount on the freezers. I hope you find something that works for you. I think we are gonna try our luck with craigslist.

Lowes is offering 10% off appliances over a certain amount (sorry, can't remember exactly, but a med-large freezer should qualify). They are also offering 10% to active or retired military w/ ID, or there are several 10% total purchase coupons around (ebay). We bought a dishwasher today and got almost 20% off after instore sale and military discount. You can also get free delivery after rebate if you need this.

You might also check with your utility company to see if they offer rebates for buying energy efficient appliances.

Also look in Sears' scrach & dent section. We've gotten several appliances there at deep discounts before.
