Lowes Home Improvement ~ Question: Does Lowe’s have a Clearance Schedule?

Moving into my First Apartment!! =) I signed up for the 10% off coupon and wondering if i could make my few dollers strech more.

I don't know about a clearance schedule, but I think if you put in a forward addy from the post office, you get a 10% off coupon in the mail.

Plus if there are any local hardware stores with coupons in your entertainment book (Like the Ace 5 off $25 that's in the national section of the book) Lowes will take them too!

Lowes has a few ways to save. Most stores have an area (don't know why, but usually near the bathrooms) where they put scratch and dent stuff. You can also check in the various departments, and check for the clearance tags. there is usually a table near our tool section with clearance items. We also find things on the main aisle and back near the garden center or in the garden center. (Like seasonal or holiday stuff) I have also called ahead with specific requests and they held them for me. (Like when our hot water heater died, and we got a great price on a returned one) Good luck in your new place!!

Ask at the store- the employees at our store are very friendly! They do their markdowns on Friday night (around 7:00), so that is usually our weekly family outing! After supper we get dressed and head over there and wander around to see what they have put out and if we don't make it over there we usually go on Saturday morning. We started buying stuff for our house a year ago and have just now poured the foundation! As silly as it seems, we have an entire shed for storage and have ended up getting almost all of our light fixtures, ceiling fans, faucets, towel bars, etc at 50%+ off. In addition, if they seem to have the same thing out for more than a couple of weeks, they are usually willing to give you an even greater markdown if you ask.

This is exactly what DH and I are doing! We haven't started building, but we are already on the lookout for great clearance deals. We remodeled the house we are in now, and a great deal of the fixtures, including our shower stall and fridge came from the clearance section at Lowe's!

Going to Lowe's is considered a fun family outing for us too..

I just wanted to add a little more to your post that Home depot will take comp coupons, so you can use your lowes, and other hardware store coupons at Home depot, and if you find the exact same item (brand, modelect) at lowes cheaper than home depot will price match it and give you a further 10% off, also home depot always has stuff on clearance, so you might want to use those coupons at Home depot :)

I know this is an old post but Lowes does the same thing as Home depot. If you find something cheaper at Home Depot you can show the ad to Lowe's, they have the cheaper price guarantee too.
