Default using catalinas to buy GC at LowesFoods

Does your LF store allow you to use catalinas to purchase gift cards?

I really think you would be better off to search the kelloggs thread about rolling the cat's and cramming in the extra free groceries to make up the savings.

I heard that someone took thier cats to another chain store and used them to buy a GC there....I haven't tried it. I am having too much fun rolling these things. Getting a GC would take the fun out of it.

When you say rolling the catalinas -- you mean rolling them to get more catalinas? So, buying 4 boxes of "on sale Kelloggs" and adding other groceries into my transaction so it = $10 in order to get all that food/cereal + another $10 catalina?

That's easy to figure out.

I posted this question b/c I don't want to do that with all my catalinas.

I have $100 in catalinas -- I want a $50 Macy's GC so I can roll into some new clothes!

So.... does anyone know??

You can always try it, it doesn't say you can't buy gift cards. But it also says that the stores are allowed to decide what you can and can't buy with them.

I have been rolling mine...I just got back from a double roll trip. I had to be home by 7:30. It does get a little frustrating trying to figure out what to buy and stay at or just over $10.00. I got 4 frosted flakes ($3.25 each), 1 LF ice cream (2.50) and one popcorn salt (1.09) and I paid $.26 and got my $10 cats.

I had the same idea but my store said you could only use one of them at a time. Is that correct or maybe just a rule for that particular location? TIA!

It doesn't say that on the Q. I have been using 2 or 3 at a time (making sure to buy 4 cereal too so I can get a cat). I used 3 in one order yesterday and 2 in the next one. I think my store is getting sick of me.
I would think it would be up to the manufacturer of the coupon.
