Here are my scenarios for this week:

Old El Paso Fresh Rewards Cash scenario (Buy 6 get $3 FRC):
    $7.50 - 6 Old El Paso Taco Shells @ $1.25 each
-$3.60 - 3 $.60/2 IP's from Home is Calling ? Deliciously Easy Recipes to Warm Your Home from Pillsbury.com
    $3.90 + $3 "Fresh Rewards Cash" = $.90...not free, but not bad.

Betty Crocker Fresh Rewards Cash scenario (Buy 10 get $5 FRC):
    $7.50 - 6 BC Hamburger Helper @ $1.25 each
    -$3.00 - 2 $.75/2 IP's from Coupons
    $5.00 - 4 BC Boxed Potatoes @ $1.25 each
    -$3.20 - 4 $.40/1 IP's from Coupons
$6.30 + $5 "Fresh Reward Cash" = $1.30...again, not free, but not bad.

I am wondering about the fresh rewards. Under the eligiblity requirements on the 2nd page it says you must spend an average of $50 per week in a one month period, to get fresh rewards.
I am pretty sure I have not spent $200.00 at Lowes in the last month, if anyone does this that has not spent $200 in the last month and it works let us know.

Hmm, this is interesting. It looks to me like there are two programs, "promotional rewards" based on a specific item(s) purchase and Loyalty rewards based on quarterly spending. I had been told in my store that we would be getting 5% back whenever we hit the $5 mark. This write up makes it look more quarterly in nature and dependent upon a certain level of spending. Wonder if either of these award accruals expire at the end of a quarter and get wiped down to nothing (like CVS). So if we do a $3 promotion it will wait to print until you do an additonal $2 one. Will those expire at the end of the quarter? Also looks like we need a new card? I don't see on the ad where it tells you how loyalty awards are determined. Is it at a certain percentage? I haven't been to the website yet.

Bleh - this fresh rewards looks like a pain. Give me a $5 off automatically at the register when I buy 15 GM products like HT did. I guess I can use the fresh rewards at HT though.

Got our card switched to the new one, super easy. They had a touch screen/scanner, and it took all of 1 minute.

Did both the Old El Paso & Betty Crocker deals and go 1 of the $5 "fresh rewards cash." It's a pre-printed piece of paper that they code with the date and rewards card number. My receipt says that I still have $3 in rewards cash still on my account.

Overall, it was an easy experience, and quite nice. Seems like a good start to this new program. Hopefully they will have similar deals every week. That would be great!

You REALLY miss understood the program then. There are tiers to the rewards system. The $50 a week gets you LOYALTY rewards. It's just a higher earning rate of rewards. Doing your everyday generic shopping will still get you fresh rewards. Everyone is entitled to fresh rewards, we (I use we as I am a Lowe's employee) just reward our regular customers with a little something extra. This program is really quite simple to understand and everyone is reading a lot more into it than is necessary.

You buy different items in the store..almost everything has a rewards value to it. When you hit $5 in rewards, you will get a ticket for $5 off your next order. If you lose that ticket, tough. We cannot reissue them. Our cashier can't forget to give it to you, as their register will lock up and not let them go any further until they issue you the ticket. There is no limit as to how many $5 tickets you can get. They are only good for 30 days, and can only be used on THAT fresh rewards card. You cannot give someone else your ticket, it will not work. It sounds like a lot of work but if you shop with us on a regular basis, you'll do better than you would with the green points. Yesterday was the 1st day of this program and we had already given out 2 of the coupons. They were your run of the mill weekly family food shoppings. Give it a chance and I think this will work better.
