The Special K $10 check - that can be used on anything right? They just suggest jeans as part of the promotion?

Jen- I think it can be used on anything but I guess we can't be sure until someone receives the check.

I did this deal this morning and turned it into a nearly $9 MM thanks to tearpad q's and printables! I got the total down to $1.11- the cashier who helped me at self-checkout was very impressed (even without knowing about the rebate!). She smiled really big and said, "wow, you really know how to shop!" Then I showed her the box and told her about the rebate offer and she was doubly impressed.

There are some IPs on coupons.com (hope that's ok to post) for the special k bars. .75/1 chocolatey drizzle and $1/2 any special k bars.

Anyone know if the $5 will come off twice? I've still got one Kellogg's rebate form left, and if I could get the $5 off twice, this could turn into a really good deal.

So I went to Lowes Foods today to do the special k deal.

I got 5 special k cereals, 2 blueberry and 3 strawberry. I used 2 1/1 IPs for blueberry cereal and 3 1/1 any special k cereals. The cashier tried to tell me that I could only use 4 coupons since they were all for special k. I argued that since I didn't have either 4 identical items or coupons I should be able to use all 5 coupons. She asked her manager and they let me use all the coupons but acted like she wasn't happy about it. Was she right or was I right?

Good question, but it unfortunately doesn't have a good answer. Their policy is vague on that issue. It says "we limit redemption to 4 coupons for 4 of the same item." So the real question is, what do they consider as the same item. Are all Special K cereals the "same item" regardless of flavor? I don't think it really doesn't matter if the coupons are identical, the emphasis seems to be resting on the "same item."

I say the same item is one with the same sku number, but that's just me. I'd say you could use 20 if the same coupon on the Special K as long as to buy 5 different flavors...but that's just me. So...to me, you are in the right, but YMMV on anything that is vague in the coupon policy, regardless of where you shop. Cashiers & managers seem to make up the policy as they go on vague situations.

However, I will say this, LF's POS system will only double 4 like coupons. That wouldn't have been an issue in your case where you were using $1 coupons.
