    FYI Lowes Food Triples FAQ

    Lowes Foods Triples FAQ

    Triples Dates:
    Wednesday, October 8 – Friday, October 10th

    Start Time:
    I’m seeing conflicting start times, some people say they shopped at 6 am last year others say it does not start till 7am. Bottom line is call your store Tuesday and confirm.

    How many trips can I make a day?
    The stated policy is limit of 20 coupons per day per household. If your store allows you to do something else, please do not POST about it on HCW. All post will be deleted and a warning or infraction given.

    What are the coupon limits?
    They will triple up to 20 coupons. Coupons $.99 or less are tripled, so a $.75 coupon is worth $2.25. A $1.00 coupon is worth a $1.00. You can use more than 20 coupons. Only 20 will be tripled. Hand your cashier the coupons to be tripled first, and then once those are scanned, hand them the free or over $1.00 coupons.

    Only 4 like coupons will triple. So this means your can use 4 Ronzoni coupons, 4 Betty Crocker, 4 Progresso till you get to 20 for coupons that are cents off. Another other coupons will be taken at face value.

    Lowes Food accepts IPs. They accept 4 like coupons and only accept them if they scan. IPs count toward your total of 20 –so you can't use 20 manufacturer’s coupons and 20 IPs.

    On Buy One Get One Free items, you can use two coupons per two items.

    They do not take expired coupons.

    Lowes Foods puts out 4 week coupons which are starting Wed. October 8. They should be a wrap around the front of the new ad – look for them at the front of the store or ask customer service. Lowes does allow stacking coupons (using a manufacturer’s and a store coupon together) so to get the full value of your triple manufacturer’s coupon hand that over FIRST and the store coupon last after all other coupons have been scanned.

    Does Lowes Food give overage?

    They do kind of. Thanks to Oscamaya for the explaniation:

    Overage at LF can be tricky. I learned that although they only double up to 4 like coupons, sometimes to maximize your overage you are better off getting a 5th one and using a 5th coupon. Here is what I did when I got the Beech-Nut juices for $1 and had a .75/1 coupon:

    5 Juices = $5
    coupon1 = .75 doubled = 1.50
    coupon2 = .75 doubled = 1.50
    coupon3 = .75 doubled = 1.50
    coupon4 = .75
    coupon5 = .75 (the last 2 coupons don't double but the lowest they can go is face value.)

    so $5 - $6 in coupons = $1 in overage.

    Can I use rainchecks during triples?
    Yes. You can. However, you will not get overages with your rainchecks. Also, if an item is out of stock during triples, you can get a raincheck for the sale price, but you can’t get a raincheck for the triple coupon part of it. Lowes Foods rainchecks are good for 30 days.

    How do I check prices?

    My coupon says “Do Not Double.” Will it double or triple?
    At Lowes Foods, as long as the coupon scans it will triple! Even if the barcode starts with a 9, it will double/triple at Lowes Foods.

    Do they restock product?
    Yes. Lowes Foods restocks their product through out triples. If your store is out of the product ask them to check in the back or ask when their next truck comes in and what time they restock.

    Does Lowes have a store rewards card?
    Yes they do - it's called Lowes Reward. You need one to have acess to the sale prices and double/triple coupons. Sign up at the front desk and use it the same day.

    Any other tips?
    Items that have coupons that came out most recently go the quickest. Plan on getting those early in the am or find out when they plan on restocking.

    Lowes Food gives you 50 greenpoints for every resuable grocery bag you bring in. Those points can be used towards $ off your next order, and other fun stuff.

    You know I'm not sure I don't stalk it as much as I do HT's- it is usually done by late afternoon/early evening.

    The ad states that the prices change at 8AM.

    I've heard that you can see the price changes late Tuesday, however. :)

    Having a small LF is a pain - except when it comes to triples! :D

    The overages aren't working quite like the explination. I bought 4 Muir Glen tomato sauces at 1.33 each, and I used 4 coupons thinking I would get a .75 overage, but I did not get any overage. I think it's because they allow them all to double and then the tripling is done at the end, so they doubled up to what I had paid for them, but then none of them tripled. I really can't complain about free though, can I?

    I noticed that too. Apparently all my research in overages at LF doesn't apply to triples. I forgot that they don't triple until they hit the magic button on the register at the end. :frown: I guess free is still better than nothing though!
