Default Hard Time with 200% Guarantee

I purchased Lowes Brand Ice Cream Cones a couple weeks ago. We really were not enjoying them as much as the brand name I usually buy, then I just happened to notice the 200% Quality Guarantee on the box. I took it back to Lowes, told them how my family felt and asked how the Guarantee works. She told me I had to have my receipt, then she could do it. I usually throw my receipts in a drawer and told her I would look.

I went through half my "junk" draw and could not find it -- meanwhile I was getting more unhappy with their policy. Why should I have to produce the receipt when it is obvious it is THEIR product!!

Has anybody had any experience with their 200% Guarantee? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would call CS. I would think that most people throw away their receipts, especially for something like ice cream cones. It is not like you bought the product at Walgreens and are trying to return it at Lowes. I would call CS and talk to them before you waste gas driving back to the store and arguing with them.

I returned thier brand chocolate chips, they tasted funny...I did not have my receipt either. The bag they replaced them with did not have the funny taste to them.

I like HT's policy better, you are more likely to try a store brand if they are willing to guarentee it with your money back and the national brand for free. I guess Lowes Foods would rather pay you back and give you it again for free. I tried the frozen corn (free with meal deal) and I don't like it at all, and I can't think that me getting another bag of the same exact item is going to make me like it more.

I thought the 200% guarantee meant they give you double your money back....not another product.

When I did it I was told they would give me my money back and give me the same product again for free. THEN if I didn't like it still I would get my money back again.
I actually had gotten a different flavor chip as replacement and she was fine with that.

Also, I brought in an EMPTY wrapper (the chocolate chips went into the cookies). I went in not knowing what to expect. That was what the CS girl told me though.

This is copied from the LF website...

maybe they needed the receipt because they have to know how much you paid to give you money back.
