This catalina (ad) printed out today when I stopped by Lowe's:

Get a $5 Starbucks GC wyb any bag of Starbucks coffee from 4/21 - 5/18.

Says "details at checkout with your register receipt" and "offer must be redeemed online by 5/31/08"

Limit one card per hh.

I'm going to have to do this deal for my mom since we are not coffee drinkers (I know, I'm strange. Just never have been able to get use to the taste). Too bad she doesn't have Lowes Foods in Florida. Thank you!

You don't actually HAVE to like the taste of the coffee you just load it down with flavored creamer and sugar/or substitute. As my DH says, "have a little coffee with my creamer" LOL You could get the coffee for your mom and use the GC for yourself, for a non-coffee drink.

You know, I've tried everything in the book to try to like coffee. From adding mostly sugar and cream and just a hint of coffee to the mocha, joka, loca latte thingies and I still can't stand it. I'm just so sensitive to that taste that nothing works for me. You are right though about the gift card, I can use it. They have really good hot chocolate at Starbucks. I'll just pass the bags of coffee on to my mom.
