Just want to share some Kindle joy!

I just got an early Christmas present. A Kindle Keyboard 3G!
I have wanted one for a while, but refused to pay the price. I found a good deal at Best Buy for one with free wifi and 3G for only $89!!! And I can say I haven't been this happy about a Christmas present since I was a kid...lol! I spent all of yesterday playing with it and searching for free books and games online. Even Dh is into it.

The things that sold me on it are that I can use it for audiobooks when I am in a car or on a plane and cant read due to motion sickness, I can play games on it, I can surf the web...even with no wifi hotspot for miles....it's awesome!
It's so much more than just a e-reader. And perfect for someone like me who refuses to get a smartphone or pay a ridiculous amount for a tablet.

Who else has a Kindle and is in love with it?

I gave my dh one for his birthday in March and we love it. Only problem is, my son has nearly taken it over and uses it all the time!
So the other day my dh asked if he could have another one as his own...

The awesome thing to share here is that this week it stopped working. Just froze up. I looked everywhere online for a fix, and nothing was working (even took it apart!). I noticed it had a light dent in the screen.
But I called Amazon anyway (Sunday night), and they sent a new one, no questions asked!
Even better - they said it would arrive Wed. but since we weren't going to be home, I asked if I could pay for overnight shipping. He changed it to overnight, and then said there was no extra charge!

I'm so happy - I think I might buy another...

My aunt has one and she said the same thing about the customer service. Sent her a new one overnight too. Makes me feel even better about buying one.

I didn't think I'd like mine that well... I love the actual reading of books LOL. I am in love with it though!!! More so now that I can borrow books from my library on it!!

I bought my first one a couple of years ago. Than one for my DH and D. Than a new one for myself last year and gave my old one to my DIL. GD gets one this year because she keeps taking her Mom's. And I have a kindle fire which should be here any day. It has it's own special Obrien cover. I'm keeping my last one for reading and games and the Fire will have an app for shopping. We have one account @ Amazon but all of us are allowed to share the books and we are a family of readers. Cut down on the clutter and we stopped fighting over who gets to read a book first. we can all read and discuss at the same time.
