Hello fellow newbie couponers! My name is Veronica and I began couponing in the middle of October because our paycheck didn't get pushed through. We had to live off of our ER reserve savings and that got me motivated to stretch what dollars we had. My friend helped get my mini coupon binder organized and I spent some time researching websites for how-to hints, tips, and deals. I started with small purchases, with deals as low as 20%. Now, I am able to average 50-70% on most transactions. I just started shopping back at the commissary (we live 30 minutes off-base: it's a drive), and my most recent shopping trip cost me $103.xx with 181.85 in coupon savings. At another store, this would have cost me well over $712 before tax and without coupons!
It is a time-consuming job but it does get easier as you coupon regularly. Hope this helps!
Congrats!!!! I'm happy that you are able to join the savings club and be able to help provide for your family.
