Have to brag on my Hubby!

Last week DD and I went on vacation to visit my parents for the whole week. While I was gone DH did a LOT of things around the house and all of them to help with couponing and stockpiling! I'm so proud of him that I have to get on and brag on him a bit. Below are pix of my basement, shelves and freezer.

He started out thinking that this whole couponing thing was bogus and would end up costing us a lot more money than it would save us. I've proven that very wrong. So, he took the money that I've saved (I've kept a running total) and:

1. Bought me an upright freezer.
2. Re-ran all of the electricity in the basement so that we don't fry the new freezer (it's an old house with iffy everything). He also found out that we've been lucky not to burn down the house while doing the laundry, so he re-did the electric for the laundry room too.
3. We store everything in big plastic totes because we get mice a lot. So he built great big shelves that go from one side of my basement to the other to store all my totes!
4. He ordered me an iPhone and I didn't even ask for it! He knew that I needed a new phone and wanted one, but I didn't think we'd have the money for it...he ordered it anyway! He told me that I had to find a good couponing app to save more money. :) As if I wasn't going to do that anyway.
5. I actually came home to a clean house too!!!! No dishes, the floors have been swept and mopped and the laundry done and put away!

I've got such a good hubby! I love him so much! I just had to brag on him to everyone here.

Oh, he's a keeper alright!!! Everything he did while you were away shows he believes in you and supports your efforts and there is nothing more rewarding than that!!!

I'm so happy for you, how awesome a 'gift' he gave you by building those shelves, buying the freezer and all of it. Sure, it benefits the whole family but the underlying message is he supports your efforts and it's his way to help you help the family.

Gotta love a man that thinks like that!

Shelly, you are totally right. I won that lottery 10 years ago. I nag and bother and get frustrated with him, and then he goes and does something like this and all I can think is, I so don't deserve this man. I do believe I'll keep him.

What a WONDERFUL guy!!! I enjoyed reading this even though it did make me a little envious. Oh well, I'm a big girl and can admit it!! LOL
