I paid $0.48 for... My minivan! We had several hailstorms here in North Texas back at the beginning of the summer (when I could remember what rain looks like), and our insurance company mailed us a check last week. It works out that we paid .48 for the van! My DH is a salesman, and he got a fabulous deal on it to begin with, and the hail damage (that I don't really think is that bad) paid for it! I am so proud of DH! He was the one who decided on the insurance coverage and the deductible, so he gets the credit for this one!

Re: I paid $0.48 for... That's awesome! I got a new windshield due to hail damage, but I'd love to have gotten the car paid for! lol. I'm on the hunt for a van, and I just wish I could find one for $4800, let alone 48 cents!!

Re: I paid $0.48 for... @saversavory- I've only had it since February, so there were a few months of insurance payments, but we bundle our policies so it wasn't that much! This has been the best deal so far! My stockpile is starting to dwindle, though. I've been going through a bottle of detergent and a bottle of softener a week! Five people during the summer use a lot of laundry! Now I can use my 48 cent minivan to haul some stuff home from Wally world! :D
