Default 65% savings including CVS extra bucks!

Prior to last week at CVS, I didn't realize that I could use my Extra Bucks right away. I had been there numerous times but usually used my coupons at Target (stacking them) or Giant (local grocery). However, it was such an incredible feeling to find this out and go back to do more shopping for free to use them up!

All total, I bought $206.63 of product for $81.61. $79.64 was before I learned about instant use of ECB. I saved $69.61 on that transaction with just coupons and in store deals. Then, I had enough ECB to buy $57.32 of additional product for $1.97.

    I bought:

2 packs of shick hydro refills
    4 pantene styling products
8 Garnier face cleansers/moisturizers (my sis & I both use them)
    1 Covergirl foundation
    6 M&M w/ pretzels
    2 bottles of melatonin
    2 Sally Hansen nail polishes
    2 Huggies wipes
    2 Huggies diapers jumbo packs
2 Johnson & Johnson big bottle bath products
    1 pack CVS wipes
    1 pack Cottonelle wipes
    1 can Aussie hairspray
    1 Clairol hair color

This week, I did my research better and went in with the goal of spending less than $50. I had three transactions and spent less than $60 out of pocket for over $180.00 of product. I had a little glitch on my mis-read of the shick intuition coupon, so I spent over my goal amount but was still pleased with my purchases. I decided to start a styling product/makeup section of my stockpile due to continued Pantene styling product coupons and L'Oreal hair color coupons.

    I bought:

    2 Pantene styling products
    2 Pantene shampoo/conditioner
    3 L'Oreal Eye Shadows
2 Revlon lip products & 1 eye liner
    5 powerades
    1 8-bar pack Lever 2000
2 Dove deodorants/1 Dove body spray
    1 Dove bar
    1 Speed stick deodorant
    2 Huggies diapers jumbo packs
    1 Colgate toothpaste
    2 All detergents
    2 Whisk detergents

Good job! Just got back from CVS myself. I love the gas card rewards they've been doing. I think you did better than I, but I am still pretty proud of myself.

This week I went with $1.99 leftover ecb from last week. I came home with the following:

1 - $10 Shell gas card to use with Kroger points for -$0.10 per gallon gas
3 - six packs Dove bath bar with bonus travel-sized dove body wash attached
4 - boxes General Mills cereals
3 - boxes General Mills cereal plus milk bars
    8 - Progresso Soup
1 - single Lipton Natural Iced Tea 20oz
1 - mini box Captain Crunch cereal

Thanks to the -$5 ecb from the Dove soap, the -$1 ecb for fourth scan on my cloth bag tag, coupons, sales, and the -$1.99 ecb from last week, I spent only $30.91 for everything. Minus the gas card, that's $20.91 for the works.I ride my bike to CVS, so all of that gas is going on our vacation trip.
