I cashier Profile too! Older ladies check every single coupon! Younger ones or Males do not. They scan the coupons just like it was another item you are purchasing. They also tend to remember the clearance items better. And Im a huge clearance shopper.

yep I casher shop to...I stay away from older women the older they are the more picky they are about coupons..the ones that beep they hand back fast!

I dont find many men cashiers here at all. So I aim for the the women that look to be in their 20's or 30's.........

I started scoping out my cashiers too! The females tend to look over everything with a fine toothed comb. Not that your ginormous batch of coupons doesn't take forever to being with to scan , now they are taking even more time and ppl behind you start hemming andf hawwing. The male cashiers don't care about the details as long as it doesn't beep then everyone's happy.

If I have a big stack of coupons. Some of them are going to beep. They always do. So what I always do is wait for it to beep, and just ask the cashier to stack the pesky ones to the side to be reviewed at the end. The Cashiers always do, and 95% of the Time, The coupon will say say Any Snuggle Fabric Softener but I will have the newest scent which was not on shelves when the coupon was released. Or it will be a peelie which is coded for a specific smell/upc. I always check the UPC's on the coupon and to see if they will give me trouble. If they will I put them on the bottom of the stack. So we can deal with them at the end.

My favorite cashier at my favorite Bi-Lo is a male and my neighbor. He does not do anything underhanded because he knows me. He is strictly on the up and up. The difference is he knows how to handle a beep when others do not. He appreciates that I fill in the amount on a free coupon and that I have my Bi-Lo card ready and all coupons neatly clipped and in some kind of order. I have to admit that I sometimes have to use an EBT card (food stamps) as I am disabled. When I bring my own bags and my EBT covers the whole load, he refunds me the bag credit. Well, .15 is not much, but, I have ALL other cashiers who don't even look at the register to see that they owe me .10 or .15 or whatever. I even had a cashier the other day who took out the .15 of my bag credit from the drawer, then, dropped it back in. Marty has been there for many, many years. He could be in management if he wanted, but, he's happy at the register. He works M-F from 6 AM to 2 PM. I know to get my shopping done during that time so I don't have any frustrations.

I personally go to the young males if I can....sorry. I have found that the older males I have had check me out are not coupon friendly. I'm not sure why...I always check my expiration dates and use the correct coupons, smile, and say hello but they just look at me and grumble....after awhile I just started looking for the younger ones....
