How much do you spend per month? Per day? Have you calculated it?

I decided to figure it out.
My goal for 2010 was $2010 for grocery/household/health beauty (not prescriptions). that is $167.50 a month.
I found out I was well under $150 a month.
Some months I am under $50!!! I am so happy. My kids eat well. They have balanced meals, fruits, veggies, fiber, etc. They have no excuse to smell bad, have dirty mouth or bad hygiene. We have a huge supply of tolietries for them to keep fresh.

I calculated that if I use $150 per month as my high point, based on 6 people in the household I am spending $0.73 per person per day. Really not bad.

I estimate that most months I am well below that.

So what's everyone else doing? Lets share!

BTW, I have a room in my basement with shelves, peg board and bins for storage of my stockpile. I also have a walk in pantry and some other shelving for storage. I also have about 50 packages of sanitary products under my bed. I have a chest freezer and an extra refrigerator.

I have four teenagers that all have big appetites. They also have friends. I share my bounty with other families that need it as well as the local food banks.

Wow. You are doing so well.

Last year, my budget was $60/wk for 4 of us, 3 cats and a dog. I also started this year with a goal of $2010, or $40/wk. I am averaging $37/wk this year. We eat well, and have treats also, as well as sharing with family and friends and several donations.

I use the laundry room for most of my storage, and paper products and cans in the garage along with a chest freezer.

I am a little higher than you, but I'm doing well for me. I budget 375 a month or 4500 a year, a 10% reduction from last year. Since January 1, I have spent 2216 when I budgeted 2625. This is about 75 per week for a family of 4 (me, DH, and 2 DDs who are 2 and 1). I'm planning on going down to 4000 for next year or about 77 a week. Very doable!
