My son is 20 now, but when he was about 4 he asked me for a store card.
He totally understood that if he had a store card his candy bar was half price and he could get two instead of one.
LOL I love the stories! At first my DH was like "ok, whatever baby" with my coupon talk and deals, but when I finally got into the real swing of things he was beyond impressed. Like boxes of diapers at cvs for tax (the most we'll spend now is .06 a diaper lol). He loves to brag to his friends that I get "paid" to shop, -walk into cvs with $1, walk out with 3 bags of stuff and $5 for the next trip lol... He's also like "do we have a coupon for it?" at the grocery store.
My father was another story though. He'd see the binder and laugh- "coupons" while shaking his head. One day, he was at my house when I came home from the grocery store. BAGS after BAGS. I showed him the total (before and after) $240 came down to $85 (and I KNOW I prob could've done better) He was sold lol. Now I do his shopping! He gives me his receipts and says here use this -thinking I can turn it into a coupon lol (he doesnt understand the catalina system).
I finally got my younger sister couponing and apparently my 3 year old niece too, lol. One day she calls me from walgreens asking about a deal and I hear my niece in the background asking for something, my sister tells her no, so she says "but why? I have a coupon for it!" AT 3! lol.

My daughter wouldnt let my son play with my calculator she told him i was adding up my savings LOL! My husband gets a grin on his face when he comes out with me. he tells his world of warcraft buddies lol. I told him i have enough right guard that he could give the people in his unit a stick of deodorant for xmas lol. I was joking of course. But they prob would love it though!
