I love the stories so far. Especially mr Log Man.

I think the day I really knew DH was on board came when we were visiting his grandma. He left and drove his Grandma to one of her friends orchards to pick up some pears and left me and the kids at her house. His grandma decided she wanted to stop at the store while they were out to get some more snack foods and steak. DH saw a tear pad with a mail in rebate form and told his grandma that I had him trained as he pulled of a few forms to bring back to me. When they got back and he gave them to me it was like he just found gold and was so happy to give it to me. It was too cute.

But I also have friends hubbys into it too. We had some friends over one day and the guys were in the garage. The 2 girls and I were chatting and going thru some Q's (they are casual Q users and I am pushing them into it more). One of my friends pulled out a few tear pad Q booklets and said, its bad that I have her DH trained. He saw them in the store and grabbed them, brought them home to her and told her to take one and give the rest of them to me.

Well the cashier pulled the "One per purchase" junk and told him he could only use one coupon at a time. So he got out some cash and sat between two registers and purchased one log at each register at a time and slapped a nickle down (tax). This held up the line enormously and really ticked the cashier off (one of them thought it was funny). Since then I have never had an issue with the one per purchase line at Walmart and they still remember him as the log guy at Walmart and that was 4-5 years ago.

That was so hilarious! Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see that one. Thanks for sharing...

Mine was annoyed at first but now likes that when he says do we have any xyz?? And I say Yes! I let use run out of mayo once and that was my lightbulb moment that deals come second to immediate needs!!

I knew he was on board when he called me from work one day to tell me (I was at work too) that he had found a 5/25 q in the paper and he was going to see if he could find anymore in the other breakrooms...lol.

My dh is on board, he brings me multiple newspaper inserts home from his work every Sunday. And he buys me the stamps for all my rebates and trades. (his contribution, he says) I don't take him shopping w/ me much though- it takes time, and he gets impatient.

I told a cashier at K-mart one time that all my husband had to do was bring me coupons and I was happy. She told me that was pretty pathetic. LOL

He will bring me home coupons from his trips and he will call all proud of himself that he found tearpads. He put my shelves up for me and over all he is supportive but he does fuss about it too. He doesnt like mess and clutter so I do my best to keep it all in one spot out of the way. And he doesnt always get the stockpiling thing. He thinks if you have a lot of something you have to eat it all right then and use it up.
I have found the best way with him is just to do my thing and let him offer to help or brag on me when he wants to and to just go on when he fusses a little.

My dad on the other hand it just took one trip to CVS and he was sold. He and my mom thought I must be doing something fishy how could you get so much for free. Plus I was living with them at the time due to some health issues and so if and when I did get out my loot got brought back to their house. Again men and clutter.
But one day I begged and pleaded and he took me to CVS and when he came in to help me with the cart he had a pkg of candy and a newspaper I said here let me get that. No no no. Yea dad Ive got too much money to spend I need it. So I paid for his items and an entire buggy packed full including pepsi and formula and diapers. I paid less than .25 for all of it.
And the cashier told him it was so good that I did that and how she liked to see me coming because I was organized and honest.

That sold him from then on out when I needed to go to CVS he would take me.
Which was awesome because I wasnt aloud to drive.
Now dad will tease me if I spend more than a few cents and tell me I need to go back to coupon school.
He and my uncle helped me carry in a car full of groceries to my moms house the other day that I had gotten for them and other family members. And my dad laughed and said I dare you to ask her how much she paid. He thinks its a hoot now.

My husband has been ok about it, but just sorta gets glazy eyes when I've talked to him about the deals, like yeah, yeah, that's great, blah, blah, blah. Tonight though, we took a printer to my stepson's mom to sell her and he set it up while we were talking (about coupns) and he printed his own Frappucino coupon off the Starbucks website. Too funny. Glad she didn't want to print that one herself. lol

I left a grocery list on the table for my daughter with instructions: "Do what I say and use the coupons!"
She goes to store and calls me at work: "Mom...i got this and this and used the card and the coupons and it was $1.96!! WOW! A $1.96!! I am excited...Now I see why you get excited!"

I knew DH was on board when he told me that because of how I coupon we can proceed with the plan that we have come up with. He still doesn't want to hear about how much I saved/spent and what we got, but he is totally supportive of what I am doing.
