I shop at Longs in Rocklin as well. I have at least 5 that are really close to me and have had good experiences except Sat when the cashier at the E Roseville Pkwy Longs took the peelies off my Garnier btls for herself and then accused me of already using q's on everything. I reminded her that she had put them in her pocket and had not actually scanned them! A super simple transaction was a disaster.

I like the cheap newspapers and they never run out of eggs (unlike Wags). My favorite deal was the KC one with free Huggies wipes and bath stuff and then a $10 rebate :)

I'm in the Sacramento area also (Orangevale) and it's great to see so many bargain hunters so close to me!

I have had good experiences at my local Longs with all except the women cashiers that are in their thirties. One took it upon herself to save some of my coupons from my first transaction for my second... oookay. And the other told me that the terms of the coupons said it was illegal both to use multiple coupons in one transaction (like 3 Garnier on 3 items) and to stack store and manufacturer coupons even though "some people do that" (with a pointed stare at me.) The manager came over and said that it's fine to stack coupons as long as it doesn't exceed the value of the item (no overage.)

Overall, everyone there is very polite and friendly. I usually have some sort of problem with a coupon not scanning on each visit, but the managers always push it right through and never act like I'm doing something wrong.
