    HAPPY DANCE Senior Discounts

Surpised that there isn't a dedicated forum for Senior discounts, but....yesterday, I went shopping at the local Top's, and I had forgotten that the first Tuesday of the month is Senior Discount Day! I got back 6% which was $7 extra dollars off my bill in addition to the Shopper's club savings and coupons, which brought my $142 bill down to $107!

On the way home, on the radio, they announced some other senior discounts, like Big Lots, Taco Bell, and others. I got curious, and here is a list I found on the internet. Do you know about any others? I realize a lot of people on this board are fairly young, but you might have parents or gparents that would benefit.

    Here's the list I found:
Whoever said getting older was a bad thing, obviously didn’t know about these fantastic senior discounts!

Since many senior discounts are not advertised to the public, our advice to men and women over 55 is to ALWAYS ask a sales associate if that store provides a senior discount. Also, please note that some senior discounts vary by region. That way, you can be sure to get the most bang for your buck.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am 56 and get the senior coffee and coke at McD's. I sometimes am able to use my AARP card, but, I just forget, you know? There's a website dedicated to senior discounts and I will try to remember what it is and post here.

Bi-Lo offers a 5% discount for seniors on Wednesday, but, I don't know the age threshold. Someone from the Bi-Lo thread chime in with the age.

Bi-Lo. I looked it up. It's for 60+ but you have to apply for a special senior discount card. Not good in conjunction with any other % off deals or the usual, tobacco, prescriptions, liquor, gift cards, yada yada.

You're welcome, welcome, welcome!!! I also forget, but I'm training myself to say, "Do you discount for seniors, AARP or Triple A?" I'm getting better

I just learned that Taco Time gives a senior discount. I didn't know that and don't know what age it's for. But they gave my brother the discount and he just turned 50. Eek! They didn't ask him his age, just gave the discount. My SIL who is a little older than him thought it was pretty funny.

Thanks. That's the one I was trying to think of in one of my previous posts. I've also got to get used to asking for the AAA discount. That's hard to keep in the front of my head.

Stupid, stupid, stupid! We eat at Chili's all the time and I forget to ask for the senior discount. It's 10% off food. My favorite bartender always forgets, too. We just ate there today and as we were leaving, one of our friends asked if we asked for the discounts. Of course not! I'm slowly beginning to ask for AAA discount. Discounts just waiting to be plucked and I can't seem to do it. UGH!
