On these sales cycles, I would just like to know if this is all stores. Does Walmart follow this schedule or do you usually have to go to WG's, Publics, cvs, ect...

I was wondering if anyone had an easy way to track sales cycles at a particular store. I always update my price book with the regular price so I will know if something is a good deal or not. I'm just not sure how to track sale prices too.

I worked retail for a total of 9 yrs and I knew there was a cycle for major appliances and clothing, bedding...etc but I've never seen such a comprehensive list for other necessities! LOVE IT!!

Okay, so this was asked ... a few years ago. But figured I would give my two cents on it anyway incase anyone else is curious. I'm trying to remember exactly when I stocked up on coffee last year. It was either December or January. This may have been brand specific, but it was the best price I've seen since then. Also, the smaller packages were cheaper than buying it in the larger container. Also, flavored creamers go on sale after the holidays. So pepermint after Christmas, or pumpkin after Thanksgiving, for example.

Hi, I am new here and I have a question about sale cycles. When you talk about things going on sale every three months (I think that's what I read), are you referring to one store's sale or the product itself only going on sale every 3 months. Because I feel like I constantly see Capri Sun juice boxes on sale and Ellio's 9 slice pizza on sale, but I go to multiple supermarkets. So, I always thought if let's say, Ellio's is on sale at one supermarket this week, it'll be on sale at another supermarket next week or in 2 weeks. But I never really documented anything and kept track of it in an organized way ( which I will be doing now). So I'm wondering what you are referring to with the cycle being 3 months. Could someone explain this to me. Thank you so much.

This is AWESOME information!!! Really!!! I wanted to print this out but there's no printer-friendly (no ads, banners, etc) way of doing it. I just might, nonetheless.

I shop a few different stores, but for the most part when an item goes on sale at one store, it will go on sale the same week or the week after at the other. Usually the manufacturer is giving a price break to the retailer for a certain period of time and then the store puts it on sale for the consumer. It isn't always 3 months, I know some stuff I see is every 6 weeks. ANd typically after a coupon comes out for an item the item goes on sale in the upcoming weeks.
    Hope I helped
