For comparison shopping try www.shoplocal.com, put in your zip code and choose to search for prices on just what you're looking for online or locally.

Also try www.mygrocerydeals.com, I've been using this for awhile now, and it's good at pricing each week's sales for stores in your zip code.

For frugal readers out there, try www.paperbackswap.com, I've been using it for a month now and have received 5 or 6 free books already. It's a free service for book swappers, you pay between $1.59 and $3.04 to send out books requested from you and get a credit when the book is received toward a free book to be sent to you.

Book swapping sites mentioned in Quick & Simple magazine:
    frugalreader.com
    booksfree.com
    titletrader.com
    bookins.com

Has anyone heard of freecycle? I got a nice TV stand by joining my local group. And gave items I had to others and kept it out of the landfill.

check in your areas for food co ops

this is one here in New england, where you buy Packages of food/ go out and do community service, then pick up your food, turning in your slip for community service (2 hours)

© Welcome to Serve New England

In my area, it is for ANYONE.....

there used to be another one called "share"....

do a google in your own areas....sometimes it can really reduce your grocery bill, they have newletters, recipes...all volunteer!

    It's mostly meat/poultry and produce.

I also like Like Merchant Ships even though they haven't posted in years. The information that's still there helps quite a bit.
