Kroger TX/LA Coupon Policy and FAQ thread

I live in Haltom City (northeast Fort Worth) and the Kroger here takes internet coupons as long as they scan. I used 20 today with no problem.

If any unmarked item scans differently than the shelf tag at time of purchase, you will receive one of that
item free, excluding beer, meat, wine & tobacco products


Marked items are meats, bakery or deli products.. the perfume is labeled and books and videos have prices on them

i didn't get a book free because the book was labeled with a 25% off stickey on it...

I'm convinced stores are going to begin changing their policies and 'deals' in regard to coupons and ECBs/register rewards with CVS/Walgreens ... I just started couponing and everywhere I go, I see couponers like myself throughout the stores (thanks to our newly elected President's 'stimulus' plan); seems every which way I look at Kroger, women are calculating and going through their q's as they shop. I hit a dumpster this morning at a local high school and 'struck gold' with Sun. newspaper inserts. While I was clipping and organizing elsewhere in the parking lot, another dumpster diver arrived, but no luck, I had them all!

I went to Kroger the other day and the manager was so upset at me because i had 6 coupons and wanted to do 2 seperate transactions in order to have all of them tripled. he said i couldnt do it and said i would have to come back tomorrow if i wanted to buy the rest of the stuff. He and the cashier were upset with me for trying to use coupons.

Do Kroger stores adjust down coupons that are over the price like the Rice Snack coupons that are $1 off one and the sale price is 99cents?

Most of the time I do 2 transactions and I have never had anyone give me a hard time?

It is YMMV, per cashier. Sometimes I get a cashier that will adjust the Q down to the price and other times they just push them through and we get the penny overage .

Does anyone know if Kroger will accept a bogo coupon on a bogo sale item?

I have used a BOGO q on a BOGO sale with no problem.

As far as multiple transactions go, I was "told" (the supervisor told the cashier right in front of me) that it was not allowed b/c of coupons.... vague but I knew what she ment. I had separated my stuff into two transactions in order to get 4 like q to double. :)

I haven't tried using a printed coupon at Kroger, but need to go to Kroger tomorrow. Will they take my colored printed copied off computer coupons?
