Got my letter yesterday... I really prefer Kroger to Albies since the closest Albies has a coupon police person working as an assistant manager. She got promoted... She did not even know how to tell if a smatsource coupon had been copied... And her cashiers are just as uneducated as she is... Not to mention she thinks you can only use 2 IPs since that's what you can print on your computer... Duh... I have more than 1 comp availabe to print on...

I agree I prefer Krogers over Albies, but will more than likely shop at Albie's

I got the same letter and Qs too and used one today and the 50 bucks is before coupons. This seems like a stoopid move considering a new Walmart is going up right down the street.

Walmart is usually cheaper anyway and with price matching makes better use of my time. A lot of the frees that could be had at Kroger were unadvertised specials and there was NEVER stock on the shelves. The only way I could have gotten any of those deals would be to shop at 5 am on Wednesday morning.

Albies prices are way higher but they have good loss leader sales and I hope they continue to print mfg. coupons in their booklets every month. Those coupons have played well at Walmart!

Buh Bye Kroger! Maybe next quarter you won't be boasting about your profits.

I agree, prefer Kroger to any other grocery store really... BUT I have no intentions of doing my shopping there other than the occasional cheap/frees now. Working on starting me up an Albies price sheet since I've never really paid much attention to their sales for the items I always received free/cheap @ Kroger.

All we can do is make our adjustments and hope Kroger sees it in their bottom line.

Per Krogers post on their Facebook page, it includes all of DFW and East Texas area. Sorry :( But still call, what can it hurt? I heard that there were 3 Kroger locations in rural DFW area that were still d/t, cant remember the name of the town, started with a B I think.

Yep, you're right. I had heard that this was only affecting the TX portion of our region and I should have changed the heading.

Happy for you that you weren't affect by Krogers policy change

I contacted Kroger about the changes to get an accurate update and was informed ALL Texas stores except the 3 in Bryan/College Station are NO longer doubling and LA is not affected at the moment since they have other restrictions due to state laws.
