Kroger Tx/LA Reminder to READ coupons please

Just a friendly reminder from your mod!
I know freebies are great. Just please keep in mind you need to READ the wording on coupons INCLUDING SIZE RESTRICTIONS.

I know all of us have made the mistake of getting so excited we overlook size restrictions on occassion. I will admit I have done it accidentally too.

I know all of you are seeing that Kraft bbq is on sale for $1. Please NOTE the size on sale is 18 oz but the current insert is for 28 to 40 oz. Please DO NOT use or brag about using this coupon on the sale bbq sauce.

There is a Kraft booklet out right now with the .55 with NO size restriction. If you happen to have this booklet GREAT but please if you post it in your scenario mention that you used THIS booklet coupon so as not to confuse the new couponers(and some veterans) thinking you are meaning the insert ones.

This is my last trip since the mega event ends today. In looking over the Albertsons store flyer there is an in-ad coupon for $1/2 (NO limit!) for the 18 OZ Kraft BBQ sauce and it's an MQ valid 5/11 to 5/17. No store logos on the Q and retailer mails to Kraft Global foods so I'm taking this Q to Kroger for this deal:

Kraft BBQ Sauce: Kroger mega 2 x $1.00 = $2 minus .50 x 2 = 1.00
in-ad coupon $1/2 = free

Kraft Salad Dressing 16 oz: Kroger sale $1.69
MQ from Albertsons ad $1/1 = .69 ea

Kraft mayo 22-30 oz: mega price $2.49
MQ from Albertsons $1.25/1 = $1.24

Also workin' the Sunny D

Kroger after mega discount 89 cents -triple .25 MQ in 5/15 SS = .14

I don't anticipate any problems here as the in-ad Q from Albertsons has a blank line after the words "redeemable at" and no logos!

I think it's also important to KNOW YOUR STORE. I bought 20 items that were tied to the mega event but I only got a discount on 10 of them. The in-ad coupons scanned just fine but didn't get the BBQ sauce free as the register didn't take off .50 per unit. Of the 2 Sunny D coupons the first one got triple off but not the 2nd.

The salad dressing which was not part of the mega still cost .69 using 3 $1/1 printed in the Albertson's ad. I still had a savings of 64 percent so I'm not complaining but it seems weird that 6 BBQ sauces didn't get a 50 cent discount with my card.

To console myself, I popped into Alberstons and got a couple of Blue Bunny ice creams for $1.44 each. According to the pkg there are 14 servings in 1.75 qts. Yeah, right.

I never would have thought of using the man qs from the Albertsons flyer at Kroger!!! Great idea, I'll have to think better next time!!! Great job!
