No doubt a lot of Tx/La people have already seen from the other regions' threads, as well as other sites, that there is a new Kroger Mega Event this week.

Word is that they are now applying a 50¢ discount to individual items as opposed to a flat $5 discount, although I don't know as that will affect much as their new coupons policy allows for overage.

Went on my first shopping trip for this Mega today, and am going to update a few things on the list:

Arnold Bread -------> Oroweat Bread
Deer Park Water --> Ozarka Water
Kool-Aid Jammers (10ct.) clearly in ad, but weren't on list.

Will try to add in a few prices that weren't in ad. (I'm in the DFW area)

The itemized Mega deductions (50¢ discount listed with each item as opposed to the old $5 at the end) didn't interfere with overage at all, but *DID* seem to affect my Fuel Points. The Mega discount no longer seems to apply to them - my Fuel Points were exactly equal to Manfacturer Qs + Balance. Seems to be yet another disappointing change in their policy.
