Hi Couponers ~ I did not see this anywhere on the boards but it started today 4/13/11 and I believe it goes for two weeks...Buy 4 General Mills Participating Items and receive a $5.00 Gift Card!!! The participating GM products are SELECT GM Cereals and Fiber One Cereal Bars.

I went this morning and did two transactions...

- $2.00 Minus (2) $1.00/2 Q's
= $9.16 Total OOP
$5.00 Gift Card (to be used on your next purchase at Krogers)

For me that breaks it down to:
Fiber One $1.04 per box (after coupon and $5.00 GC)
GM Cinnamon Toach Crunch $1.44 (after coupon and $5.00 GC)

Not bad for something my family eats on a normal basis!

It's in my ad on Kroger.com - although it doesn't specify which varieties are "SELECT"...

The stores seem to think it is $2.79 after you factor in the $5 gift card....thats not how I read the ad.... that being the case, the deal isn't so good anymore. Anyone else running into this?

At Dillon's the $2.79 off "select" varieties is basically some of the Chex products. Honey and Wheat I believe.

I bought 2 Honey at $2.79 and 2 Cinnamon at $2.99, used 4 50/1 coupons that doubled to $1.00.

$7.56 OOP and received a $5.00 gift card, so $2.56 or .64 a box.

I'm in the Cincinnati region, and we have the same deal. I got 3 Nature Valley Bars and 1 Cheerios at 2.79 each. I had $1 coupons for each of them, so it was $7.16 oop for me. BUT...they didn't give me a GC!! I had to go to the service desk to get it. The CS manager said that they've been having trouble with it.

Did you bring a gift card with you to the checkout? Or did they know and have them ready like at Target?

So are all the items not $2.79 before the gift card.... cause the paper ad reads $2.79 and it doesn't say "starting at $2.79" or anything - just says 2.79 participating items with plus card... and the cereals are listed as participating items so nothing indicates that the items aren't all 2.79 - very confused....

I am in Utah and my Smiths/Kroger has the same promo right now. Some of the select cereals, the fiber one bars, and the nature valley granola bars were priced at $4/$10 before the gift card was factored in. If you count the GC and an insert coupon, each item ended up being less than $1.

BTW, Honey Nut Cherrios was included in my area. HTH.
