QUESTION Questions about Prices Varying from Store to Store

Is it just me or does Kroger's prices vary from store to store? I like to go to different locations when I shop just to change things up, different atmosphere, etc. And I'm compiling a Price Book of my own, and I started to realize that my stores vary and it's a little frustrating. Does anyone else notice this and what do you do? Do you just choose one store and stick with it or do you separate your shopping list to get the absolute lowest price for that item?

-and I'm not talking about different stores, like going to CVS, WAGs, Kroger. I mean like going to 2 different Kroger stores in different cities or areas.

    Hi!

Many stores do this on different items (HEB is famous for it, from store to store) ... and, yes, Kroger does it!
It depends on the area of town, competition, if there's a new store opening, etc. what prices are charged.

Personally, I figure if it's worth my gas AND time to go to another location that might have one or two items for a few cents less. Sometimes it's cheaper to pay a few cents more an item, rather than my driving time, wear/tear on vehicle, plus fuel. ... I also consider that store's Q acceptance policy.

I DO drive about 25+ miles (one way) to go to a Kroger who's Q policy I like better than the one that's only 10 miles away, especially for a mega sale. The prices are pretty close, if not exact, but even if they weren't, I'd probably make the drive ... just because I get tired of "training" employees, AND I refuse to reward a store with my non-Q purchases when they want to be PITA about Qs.
(Then, again, I'm mid-50s, don't "work", and like to enjoy shopping.)
