Bummer!!!!! Thumbs down

Sorry guys, but it appears technology has caught up with us!
Kroger in TX/LA now has officially changed their FAQ's to specifically state the following:
Can I use paper coupons as well as digital coupons on the same item?
Limit of one coupon per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.
For this reason, we can no LONGER allow the discussion of using a paper coupon in conjuction with an ecoupon at Kroger.
Any discussion of combining these coupons in this forum will result in a warning/infraction (and I really hate giving those, so please don't make me!)
for your reading and complying with Kroger company policy and YES I am bummed TOO!

I just have one question, which one overrides the other? If I have a coupon loaded on my card and hand the cashier a paper coupon (not intentional, it's just hard to keep up with everything) which one will the system apply?
Stephanie-it has been posted on thier site for months and in regards to the above question, about which one comes off...loadable trump paper q's. I have only had it actually been inforced once and it wasnt even me it was being inforced on it was a fellow couponer. She got told the one was beeping because she had a e-q and couldnt use both lucky for her the value was the same and not less the paper q...this is definatly coupon ruleet (sp) I try to steer clear of double dipping this way most times because they did put out the disclaimer and for a while it seemed the computers were programmed to disregard the e-q if you had a paper one but for the time being both come off ...sometimes they beep and AFTER im done i realize why...but cashier doesnt/hasnt realized in the past and pushed the paper one thru...im rambling lol
Disclaimer: I can not spell and will not pretend that I can, if you feel the need to correct me, please be nice.
um, did you know you misspelled ALL over this post(J/k)
Wow, I guess I never noticed it in our region. I know many months ago the other regions said it was in PRINT in their policy but at that time it was not in ours, so I thought we were not affected.
And, this is a tough one that I am gonna have to speak with my contacts at Kroger about. If it is going to take the ecoupon off and then not allow me to use a paper coupon(whether the register forcing or cashier forcing issue) instead, then I have a real issue.
I should not be punished for loading an electronic coupon that I might think is good and then find a better paper coupon that I am then denied the use of because of said ecoupon that I have NO control over.
Hmm, gonna have to have a talk with Kroger.

I wonder if this is now enforced throughout all Krogers, or only in specific areas.

I am not sad about it - cause the loading the coupons to my card - never worked for me anyways - they would never come off when I checked out.
I haven't seen anything about whether Randalls restrict the use of eQs combined with paper Qs, so at least there is one store that still apparently allows this.
ZM- i'd love to know what your contact at Kroger says. if they didn't want people to double dip on q's they shouldn't offer the e-q's *period*. i'm with you, i want the choice of which to use if i can only use 1. not only are there higher value paper q's that come out but since paper q's double or triple sometimes, i'd rather use those. of course, i haven't been terribly good at loading the e-q's for the last month & a half. my DH has been out of work since october & we've been living off stock.
i know the e-qs are a marketing scam for people who don't really use coupons, to get them in the door & spend $100+ on their "everyday low price" stuff - which, in case you didn't know, is not that low.
ZM,
While I agree that we should be able to choose paper vs. eQ, don't be too surprised if they take the hard line with you. You *DO* technically have some control over which eQs are loaded onto your card. When you view your loaded eQs on the Kroger site there is a 'Remove' button/link to remove individual unwanted eQ's off your card - although I don't think it always appears if the eQ was loaded on by a 3rd party, like Shortcuts/Cellfire.
Again, I agree with your sentiments entirely, but just playing the devil's advocate here...![]()
