-0.86? overage so the cashier zeroed it out : ) WHY ASK WHY? Just take the tuna and run I know there should be .63 Sierra Mist overage and .30 tuna overage so .93 overage but the oil was 1.20 and the tax was .25 so U should have had an OOP of 1.45-.93= $0.52.

I had an even more unusual transaction today. I repeated yesterday's planning for .86 overage based not on math but my receipt from yesterday. So I added 3 additional items:

1 @ 1.99 Wesson Canola Oil, .40/1 Insert, 1.29
6 @ 0.50 Bumble Bee Tuna, .55/1 Blinkie, -.30 overage
3 @ 0.79 Sierra Mist, $1/1 TG Booklet, -.63 overage
2 @ 1.39 Dannon Yogurt 2lb reduced, .50/1 peelies, .78
1 @ 0.69 Star Wars gummies

Total: -0.16 so the cashier gave me back .16 ??? I should have been charged 1.83. I have no idea what's going on I got charged .47 tax and a .01 phone card fee? There is only one mistake that I see, it looks like the cashier scanned one too many .55 coupons but still the total should have been 1.28.

Total: 1.67 and I found a $1 OYNO California Pizza Catalina I got charged .37 tax and a .01 phone card fee? A .50/1 eQ came off on clearance Dannon? I should have paid 1.20 Oil + .49 Tidy Cats (no eQ) + 1.50 tea + .44 Eagle SCM + .38 tax + .19 Dannon = $4.20 Minus 1.39 overage = 2.81 so I saved $1.14 in mystery money. Maybe they have "virtual eQs"?

Your Sierra Mist rang up $1 NOT $1.29, so you were actually getting .50 overage on each one, not .21.
You went negative .61 and then your tax is negative because your coupons on non taxable items exceeds the cost of the actual product.
So .61 + .25 = .86 negative

By my calculations, you overpaid 50¢ ... BUT, because price of soda, still better than I can do on same!

I've seen something similar before. Of course I don't have the reciept to refer to anymore... But I remember purchasing Reach flossers on clearance for $1 ea and a couple of other sale items. I presented coupons that totalled the total price of the transaction and instead of zeroing out, it came to -$0.08 because of tax. This happened on more than one occasion. Once the cashier actually handed my cash. I checked and checked and checked the math on the reciept. I still don't know what happened...
