Kroger TX/LA ad Nov 3-9 Start of mega sale

Some pointers (especially for newbies):
Mega sales go for 2 weeks.
Mega sale is : purchase 10 participating items get $5 off your order. I didn't see a limit listed in my ad, but I would not recommend doing more than 50 -60 mega items per transaction.

Mega deals are one of the rare times you can get overage with coupons at Kroger. Since the $5 promo comes off at the end of your receipt(not per line item), you can actually get overage.
For example the Ricola is .50 after the mega sale. If you had a $1/1 coupon, you would get overage of .50 for each you purchase.

Ricola would ring up $1, less your $1 coupon (no beeping) and then -.50 for mega sale.

Typically the same items are on the mega deal both weeks, however some of the items are only advertised in the actual ad one week. Because of this, I suggest getting rainchecks for anything you are interested in if they are out and it is in the ad
(an example, this past 2 weeks Dawn was on sale for $1 at Kroger, the first week it was in the ad, the second it was not. Even though it was still $1 on the shelf tag and they were out, they would NOT issue a raincheck because the Dawn was not advertised last week)

Also, make sure you purchase in groups of 10. A great way to keep track in your cart is to either use the hand carts to separate out your deals. or use reusable shopping bags to sort groups of 10

Anyone know which Oral-B toothbursh is on the 10/$10 sale? I noticed it today but forget ot see which one it was, I was happy to get my colgate ones, thought for sure they would be out of stock LOL........i did notice that the colgate one said that is was good on the 10/$10 until 11/30/10 sure is a long sale on that one I hope its true..

I keep track of my number of ten with a pice of paper and pen...I have that in my hand anyway for its with my coupons.. I do a list if i get 10 than I write 10 but if I get 3 of a item I write a 3 so I know to pick back up at three on the next item, if I get 5 I mark threw the 3 and make a 8 and so until I get to 10...

One other thing Dont get this mixed up with the items that are 10/$10 for they dont count on those...they are a different part of the sale..

I also noticed that pampers wipes 60-72ct are 1.99 in the ad. There's a $1 on 60+ ct loadable at P&G, pair with a $1 home mailer for a free tub. :)
