Kroger New Double Coupon Policy?
Unfortunately, Alexandria, Louisiana Kroger has went from doubling three like coupons to now only doubling one coupon. :(
I was looking for a post on this because I am almost sure yesterday I was reading a post about this.
Today when I went to our Kroger I didn't notice anything at checkout but when I went to look through the coupon bin at customer service I noticed that they now have a sign taped on it saying from now on only one coupon doubles per transactions.
I'm about ready to give up couponing. This was the only store around here that we could do good couponing at but now it's not worth it to have to make multiple trips to the store because they only double one coupon now. We live 40 minutes away from Kroger so it's not even worth it anymore - not for that.
Does anyone know what thread I'm talking about? Maybe I'm imagining things![]()

well crap if I am only allowed one of the same coupon then I am going to be VERY upset.
I haven't been to Kroger in a while, but hey if I have to I will take 10 of my best friends and we can all take everything out to the cars and then turn around and go back in.

I am still allowed three. My understanding is that individual stores can change the limit by literally overriding the cash register.
Stupidheads. But then, Albertsons and Tom Thumb do limit it to one, and one of those stores (forget which) limits it to one per manufacturer. It's like trying to roll RRs at Walgreens!![]()
Ours did that awhile back, it does suck.
Is this happening in the Houston area too? I haven't been to Kroger much since the last Mega sale because the ads haven't been that great...
Rosenberg store was still d/t 3-like on the 7th ... but, that was couple days ago ... know how stores are (worse than pre-schoolers changing BFFs!).
Been a lot of talk about new policies in other regions, that wasn't supposed to have been for their regions but for some other region ...... who the heck knows?!
Y'all have a coupon bin?!!!!
And here, I think I'm REALLY lucky if I find a stray CAT lying around!
The old store here was doing that (1 d/t). One day, I spent several hours in there playing "ring round the rosies" with the registers ... pay in one line, go next register, do next order. ... Guess Mgr got mad cuz I figured out a way around HIS rules (apparently others, too), about a month later, changed to "no back-to-back d/t of same Qs" ... so went what I figured was just before shift change then went and got a soda, came back when busier, then I'd go outside a few minutes, go back in and get a few items, go through again. -- Yep, I'm hard-headed and do not like someone tell me I "can't" do something, especially in arrogant tone ... I revert to that kid mentality: "BET ME!"
I finally got tired of playing his game, and had another store about 30 miles away I could go to where they liked Qponers! (But I sent out letters to Regional and Corporate and told them how they were inconveniencing customers and losing business, and were NOT keeping with their "Green" policy by making customers drive further JUST to use coupons because a new manager didn't understand the company got reimbursed for everything but the double/triple portion. Don't know what happened to that "mgr", but he didn't get the new store!!!)![]()
Did you confirm the register is actually only doubling/tripling one like?
I ask because there are 2 stores in SL that have the policy posted like that, but the registers are not programmed that way (not sure why it would be conflicting, but I won't argue)

Yes - I checked my receipt when I got home and sure enough only the first coupon doubled and the rest were at face value :( So sad because Kroger was the only store in this area where you could actually do good couponing.
