Thanks, I'll have to run by there. With my luck all the blinkies will be gone.
I'm actually a bit late posting this find so I'm sure everyone already knows, but just in case....
My local Kroger had the Jimmy Dean Sausage on sale 2/$4.00 AND they had the Smart Source Coupon Blinkie up that had "Save $2.00 when you buy any Two(2) Jimmy Dean Sauasge Rolls" coupons exp 6/30/2010. Seems to be a lot of these coupons around now with them being in the inserts too.
So, $1.00 for sausage seems like a great deal to me! :-)
I would assume sale price will end tomorrow, 15JUN, not sure? :shrug7:
My store was wiped out of the "regular" rolls, had only "hot", and "reduced fat" which are 12oz. The 12oz reduced fat rolls DO WORK tho.

Jimmy Dean died last night just in case anyone wants to know..
for real? thought I caught a snippet about someone, but didn't catch more than they were old, country, and I oughta remember them. Sorry to hear that, grew up listening to him (yea, I'm ancient!) ... [sittin by the fireplace trying to do my homework on a slate board 'cuz wasn't any paper, while mom darned my socks ... before we scooped up the hot coals in the warmer to put in bed to get it warm -- okay, lyin' about that, but had ya goin', didn't I?!!right to the part that you wondered HOW I was listening to him without a radio, at least!]
Jaws1,
you may be kidding, but I'm not. I remember as a little girl growing up in Germany drawing on slate that had fallen from roofs (we did have paper for homework), my Mom did darn my socks and anything else that had a hole in it, and we did warm the bed with crocks filled with hot water because bedrooms weren't heated. We listened to radio and played board games for entertainment.
Thanks for the memories. Sorry I got off track there since this is suppose to be about Jimmy Dean.
well, wondered why I went off on that tangent ... guess I know now. "Funny" how less comfortable years/memories can become comforting ones when we're older!
Glad this caused you a pleasant memory! and thanks to OP and PP for starting the thread ... things happen for a reason!

Awe heck, just now reading this and seeing your response ZM - thanks for the tip! I never think to get a raincheck! I was Just at Kroger this morning, Again, and don't think I'll be making it back there today.
You ladies just got me remembering....I lived with my Grandmother in England when I was 10, early 70's (there! dated myself too) and she also had a coal fireplace. The coal shed door was outside the house, but connected to it, just like an outside closet. I can remember taking the little coal bucket out there to fill it with coal. In the mornings, before school, I would dress in the water heater closet in the kitchen. Too chilly in the bathroom and bedrooms for me! Haven't thought about that in a really long time.
