I got a call with an automated message saying I had bought this and to bring in receipt or package (which we had used) and don't have receipt. I don't know it this was the issue, but 3 out of 5 in family have had bad stomach viruses. I guess I don't have any way to prove it (except prescriptions!)

i think package is all u would need for refund.
if u got sick right after eating it, maybe kroger would want to know just for the record?

update: i forgot to check the kroger site for recalls. a lot going on there i didn't know about.

you can get there from w.kroger.com, then Services tab at top, then click Recall Information.
since the page is long, just do a search on "Texas" to find the recalls that might affect us. then look for the ones that affect Kroger in the details.

I really wish they would include their recall information in their weekly emails; it would be so much faster for me then than checking the site every one in a while.

Well I had just purchased a box of the soup mix and got a notice on my receipt about the recall. DH took the box and receipt to the store for a refund only to be told that the product wasn't included due to the expireation date. I was perplexed because the upc matched. Playing it safe, I threw it away.

Yesterday I got a phone call about Jose Ole being recalled. We ate them!!! I don't recall anyone getting sick and that was around Christmas.
