Houston Chronicle Early Edition - No Q's

I bought 3 papers today @ Kroger in Baytown - didn't check them at the store (I know . . .), but I grabbed 3 from the bottom of the stack that didn't look like they had been pilfered through. When I got home I discovered that all three of them are missing the coupons!

I'll call CS and take them back, but it's just annoying! Grrrr!

Has this happened to anyone else?

All the ones I checked did not have any. The Sun had them though.

I swapped mine out for The Sun. I should've just grabbed that in the first place - I forgot this week doesn't have the RP. The last few times I got The Sun, the RP was missing several pages (and it is out of Orange / Beaumont now). Since it's just the SS this week, all Q's should be the same. And I got 4 papers for the price of 3 Chron's! :)

Don't overlook the Prevacid rebate on the back page of the Parade

Thanks! The Sun has the USA Weekender - we got the Prevacid coupons instead of the rebate form.

I checked both the early Sunday edition AND the normal Sunday edition at 2 different stores and neither had coupons. However, the normal Sunday edition delivered to my house DID have them. One of the cashiers gave me some malarky story about the Chron taking out the q's because of "greedy" people buying the papers just for them. I told her those "greedy" people kept that paper up and running.

LOL - love your screen name!

But that is a bunch of malarky! Who cares WHY we're buying the papers - at least we're buying them! "Greedy" bah! . . .

I recently called Chronicle Customer Service and during our conversation the lady told me all extra coupon inserts are burned. I told her there was no way I was believing that and she swore it was true.

Anybody believe this or know for a fact it isn't true?
