    QUESTION Kroger Coupon Policy Question

I've not run into this until today. I really only shop Kroger during the rare occasion I get to the big city. Well, today when I finished checking out, the cashier told me, as she handed me the receipt, that the store actually only allows three like coupons. I was confused and she held up a .50 coupon. Told her I understood about the limitation on multiplied coupon (which I did not exceed, no way) but how did that apply to all coupons. She repeated only three like coupons. I again said "even on a $1 coupon". She said yes.

I went over to customer service and spoke to a 20-year-old (my guess on age) who repeated the same acceptance policy. Kept telling him (calmly and politely, of course) that I did not understand about a limitation on coupons which are accepted for face value. He kept saying it was corporate policy no matter the value of the coupon.

I believe this is a travesty of interpretation and no way that is the corporate policy. Why would they put a limit on the number of coupons accepted for face value. I would understand if they put a customer limit on like items sold if they choose, but the limits should be applied equally to couponers and non-couponers. Because we all know that the store gets reimbursed for coupon value. Why would they not want to sell goods and make money???

    If you're curious, here's what I bought:

    3 Blistex
    2 Green Giant boxed veggies
    5 Reach floss
    8 Tennessee Pride sausage gravy

Actually each store has the right as stated clearly in the ad to impose liimits
I have spoken multiple times with higher ups and the reason for the limits is to reduce "shelf clearing" behavior. There is nothing against their policy to exclude their limit and in fact MOST stores near my home do impose the 3 like coupons limit regardless of doubling/tripling.

I have been told on numerous occassions (and at this point this is all hearsay) this is because of convience store owners coming in and buying products below their wholesale pricing and clearing the shelf pissing off the rest of their customers.
It is an unfortunate rule we must follow to get our deals.

Quick question: was this one of the stores listed in (I think) the FAQs section as accepting more than three Qs? If so, you might note that so it can be updated!

Is there any online coupon policy for Kroger that (printable prefferably)states you CANNOT use a catalina coupon (ex. the Kellogg's deal this week) when you are using a manufacturers coupon in the same transaction? Thanks

Not sure your question. Are you trying to use an oynso catalina or are you trying to use 2 Kelloggs coupons together.

You should be able to use both and there is nothing in the policy that excludes it.
Unfortunately, they do not have an online policy and their policy is not detailed. If you are at most registers, you can see their policy posted on the checkstand(where you would write your check)

It sounds like your store are just being butts.

I've had plenty of cashiers tell me that I could only use 3 like coupons, until I politely asked them to confirm with a manager. They had confused doubling/tripling 3 like with only accepting 3 like.

Once I was told the 'limit' was 8 only because the coupons were beeping, and the mgr checking me out didn't want to keep over-riding them.
