Kroger (Texas/Louisiana) ~ Other: I feel like I'm spending more $$$

I don't know how you ladies do it? I feel as if I'm spending more $ as opposed to saving? The only thing I have gotten free is some deodorant. Maybe I'm not matching things uo right or planning accordingly.

I'm so embarrased to show what I've bought. I haven't attempted the daytona and doubt i will. I have like 4 q's for the ragu and 2 $1/2 q's for capri but yeah, I dont want to spend any $

Some weeks I just can't save as much as other weeks. Right now the sales are just so-so. It seems to happen in cycles. Some weeks I bring home tons of freebies, like the week I brought home 26 bags of Planters trail mix free. Don't get discouraged though, because we are all there sometimes

Frugalinthemaking - what do you mean you don't want to spend any money? Now that is going to be hard. I did 3 transactions at Kroger today and yes I saved alot of money but I also spent 35 dollars but was very pleased with it. It's going to be hard not to spend any money at all.

Imean, I've spent more than i had hoped and don't want to buy anything else @ the moment. My DH is the only one who works, thats why I took up couponing,I'm just trying to help us save $. I know I can't expect to be a coupon queen right away just frustrated me. I read this one couponers blog where she might items from the Daytona and her total was a -.81 cents!!! I want to be able to do that!

haveing a negative total with money back is EXTREMELY rare most of the time. Keep in mind - depending on your stores and state - most stores do not give money back to you

I shop Kroger so I and others here can help you figure your deals for the lowest oop if you give us the chance.

Groceries take a bit more for your brain to wrap around (mine did) but once the light shines, you will love it.

I don't know the coupons for ragu off the top of my head but if you have 4 ragu and 2 $1/2 capri and 2 purex$.35/1:

$4.96 - (4) Ragu
$6.28 - (4) CapriSun
$4.38 - (2) Purex
=
$15.62
- 2.00 - (2) $1/2 Capri
- 1.40 - (2) $.35/1 doubled
- - ( ) Ragu
=
$12.22 (less the ragu)
and get $4 cat for your next order

Getting the CapriSun though is not a "free"ish deal unles you need them or want them

Braundead me, that sounds good, but for some reason I threw my q's for the Purex- major NO NO! I'm still getting used to not throwing q's for things i don't normally buy.
