QUESTION Baytown Sun - does anyone buy it?

I have the Houston Chronicle home delivered. For my extra papers, I always get the Baytown Sun because it's cheaper. Most of the time the coupons are exactly the same. Every once in awhile the pages will be laid out different or one paper will have something the other doesn't. Minor annoyances, but well worth the 50¢ savings per paper for the most part.

BUT . . . last week I noticed that my RP didn't have the Unilever Q's in it! I chalked it up to a bad-newspaper-luck-weekend b/c my Chronicle was missing the SS all together.

This week my Chron's are all intact, have everything they should have but my Baytown Sun doesn't have the P&G and the RP is missing pages just like last week; good thing I don't have a dog (mostly Purina Q's that are missing).

Has anyone else noticed this change? So much for being cheap, lol! I guess I'm going to have to suck it up and buy the Chronicle for my extra copies too. Bummer! It was a good thing while it lasted.

I noticed the same thing. Last week I thought it was strange. This week it just made me mad! LOL. They don't even look the same. On a side note, in my driveway the past two weeks I got a pack of ads with that weeks Q's. That makes the stupid paper thing a little better. Now I need to go hit up the recycle for all those Q's......

Really? That's cool about the pack of ads! Maybe check other ppls driveways to see if they have some still sitting there! Surely if they would've wanted them they would have picked them up by now, right? I didn't get the separate pack. But this week mad me mad too! Like I said in my OP, I'm just glad I don't have a dog, lol!

I guess now I know better. I won't be getting the Sun anymore.

Off topic but I wonder if we hit the same recyling bin?? The one I go to is usually pretty good but sometimes I can't find anything, I bet that's because you .

And I can't believe I haven't seen you at Kroger these past 2 weeks. I really thought I was going to move in there for awhile.

Okay back on topic. I always pay the extra $.50 for the Chronicle, as much as it pains me to do so. I think the coupons are always better. My MIL gets the Sun and saves her coupons and there is always something missing.
