QUESTION What's the good news for this week's ad?

i think it's zoey's mom that posts the ads & matchups for the week alot of the time, isn't it? i wasn't able to take advantage of the mega before it ended tuesday due to a house full of sick-o's since last thursday and looking at this week's ad didn't seem too exciting. anyone have any good deals? also, we're out of meat. i need to get some ground beef/turkey and chicken breasts. any houstonians know where to get some good, if only decent, prices for these?

HEB has the chicken breasts 5lbs for $5 w/$10 add'l purchase, and some other decent (not great, but ...) prices on some meats this week. Also has Owen Sausage 2/$2.98. You might check their on-line ad, if you don't get their circular! I'm not a big fan of HEB (just 'cuz I don't shop there much), but their meat is good quality.
Don't know what it is this week, but last week had Sanderson Farm whole chicken, something like 67¢/lb (my sister said that was good price for it).

I only get HEB, Kroger, & Fiesta papers (and Super S). Didn't notice meat prices at Fiesta, but went by there today and saw several folks walking out with the family packs of ground beef so maybe it's a good price there.

Del Monte vegetables $1/2, which is an even better price than megadeal. Combine with $1/5 and they're 20 cents each.

Private selection ice cream is on sale for $2.50. There's a loadable coupon for $1 any private selection ice cream - I think it's cellfire.

Duracell batteries are $1.88, there's a coupon 11/1 RP or PG for 50 cents or a dollar (LOL i'm not much help am I).
