Thumbs Up New Kroger TV Commercial

I just saw a new commercial for Kroger. It shows a lady stating all the reasons she shops at Kroger. It is presented kind of like a slide show. On one she holds up the Kroger Plus Card and says she shops with that instead of this, holding up a handful of HEB yellow coupons. In another she says that when she shops with these (holding up handful of manufacturer's coupons) she can save double or triple. I think this proves how hot the grocery wars are getting and gives us hope that most Krogers will allow d/t 3 Q's as was stated in other post. By the way this commercial aired in Houston. There is a lot of competition here which makes it better for the consumer I think. Yeah Kroger!!

Default Re: New Kroger TV Commercial

Yep, HEB keeps running commercials about how customers save money without loyalty cards and clipping Qs ... 'cuz HEB has the yellow Qs instore. Figure this is Kroger's "come back" to them and, yeah, I imagine re-setting the computers to 3 d/t is partly because of the heavy ads by HEB.

I remember, back in psychology class, there was a study that confirmed if you hear something enough times, you believe it (brain washing of a sort). Said that was one of the reasons you shouldn't sleep with tv on in bedroom, because subconscious heard all the ads.

Personally, each store has pros and cons. I like Kroger's print ads better because they list more prices. Seems like HEB says mostly, "Save $x" and not price. As for commercials, HEB makes a point to imply clipping Qs is a waste of time because they "give" you Qs and free stuff -- forget to say they don't give you any Qs on the qualifying item you have to get to use the Q ...
