QUESTION Response from Kroger's re:only doubling or trippling one like coupon per transaction?

Has anyone received a response from Kroger's Corporate/Mgmt re:
Kroger's change of only doubling or trippling one like coupon per transaction? I read through the threads and it sounds like most of the store employees have no clue. I asked my cashier today and she say's it's the register that makes that decision?

I was told, by person representing herself as manager, that store level has no control over register ... that it's programmed through one of the corporate offices. (However, it IS a fact that cashiers/managers CAN do overrides -- ie, especially paper Qs that you've bought the product but, for some wierd reason, it doesn't scan ... so there IS a way around it IF they choose to use it.) Of course, this "manager" (contrary to what corporate customer service had told me in the past) said the managers can't d/t more Qs than register allows ... and we ALL know that's a crock ... ask ZM if you don't have personal experience!!

One of the stores in my area has been d/t only one like coupon for a long time, while other stores in the area were still d/t three like coupons. The manager I spoke with at the time said the district manager makes the decision. I don't know how large the districts are or how they are organized, but the stores with different policies I'm referring to are within 10 miles of each other.

Default Re: Response from Kroger' -- CALLED REGIONAL

Okay folks, just got off the phone with Ruth @ SW office, gave her my email address to send response. SHE was not aware of the Q policy change .. she never did say exactly her area, but I asked for the person that made Store Policy decisions on Qs acceptance for SW division.

She said everyone was in meeting this afternoon, would probably be tomorrow afternoon before had an answer. I let her know that commenting to corporate did no good, call the CS 800 number did no good ... WE need an answer if they wish to keep customers!

Will post as soon as I hear anything.

This is very disturbing to me so I called 'my' kroger at memorial and dairy ashford in teh memorial area and talked to "someone who would know" The girl who answered was sweet! His name was Jeremy Meihers (sp) I have seen him before. I explained to him what I have been reading on here and that it seems more and more store are switching to one like and he specifically said that is for the SuperDouble days for up to $1 (which I missed ) So to be clear I asked him: "So if I come in to do some shopping today and have 3 like coupond for 35c on 3 like items...he interupted and said "they should all three triple" and I asked "what should I do if they dont because that is the problem I am seeing on the web site for couponsers?" He said " bring it to customer service cause I sure would like to see that!" He sounded shocked by the idea, and sure it was only for Super Deals...or w/e they are...since I missed out on it :P So I will be carefull and pay attention to my reciept but it sounds to me like it may be a programing glitch going from one type of d/t (for the super) back to thier normal coupon policy. I hope anyway. I love my kroger but this would be heartbreaking!

jaws1 - anxiously awaiting to hear what you find out!

I was at my regular Clear Lake Kroger's yesterday. Only one like coupon doubled so I asked the cashier if Kroger's coupon policy had changed. She said no and was surprised when I pointed out how only one of my like coupons had doubled. She called the customer service manager over and she knew nothing of a change either. She gave me cash back for the value of doubling the other coupons and made the comment that several people have brought this to their attention lately. Sounds like it really could just be a glitch, especially since no one knows about it. Watch your receipts!
