QUESTION Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go?

I'm starting this since we seem to have three different threads with todays deals.
So let's put it all in one place.

Where did you go?
How well was your store stocked, staffed, etc?
How long did it take you?

Let's hear all the details!

As for me...
I went to the store in Sachse.
Got there at 8, left at 9:30.
There were tons of people there, but almost all of the lanes were staffed.
They did have a shortage on baggers.
My store was well stocked, except for Rice Krispy Treats, which had been cleaned out earlier this week.
I found a peelie on Keebler cookies for $1 off milk, doubled made the milk free.
Found a peelie for free dijon mustard when you buy a regular Frenchs mustard.
Total before q's was $180, after was $84.
Used 54 q's.

I did okay, but not as well as some. We just moved here to Frisco, so I really need to restock badly. That means I didn't just buy freebies, but anything that we use that is a good deal. I also (not knowing the store as well) didn't organize in quite the right way. I went through the whole store once (instead of hitting the free items first, which some were gone) and then went back for a 2nd trip. I haven't been back for a 3rd and would have to take kids. Not sure if my nerves can handle that yet!

Anyway, I spent $84 total and got $340 worth of groceries. I am a little disappointed at how much I spent out of pocket, but as I said....I needed to restock our supply big time! I try to look at it as getting over $250 worth of groceries for free. That helps me feel a little bit better!

I did meet a lot of really nice couponers, though. The store was PACKED. Non-couponers were getting very impatient the first time through the checkout because they were having to wait, and we can be slow sometimes! The floor staff was great, though, and the cashiers were friendly and helpful.

I'm so glad that I had all of you on here to help me!!! Thank you all so much!!! I'm eager to read about everyone else's experiences!

Kroger at Independence in Plano seemed pretty well stocked but they were remodeling and that was an unfamiliar store to me but I did find some stuff.

Kroger near me in Arlington was ransacked. People with big coupon binders leaving empty handed. All the good stuff was long gone.

I will end up with most of what I really wanted, so I'm good.

Well, I went to 2- 24 hr stores and 1 that opened at 6. The one I went to at midnight was NOT prepared. They only had 1 person at the u-scan but she was great. We got there at 11:30 and got out about 1:30. Hit another 24 hour and same scenario- long lines. Didn't get out of there until almost 4. Stayed up and left at 5:30 to go again. It was empty (of people, that is)!! I couldn't believe it. Again, though, only 1 person at u-scan at 6 a.m. but only 6 others waiting outside the store to go in. So went in for last needed stuff and was home in bed by 7.

Total results-
$362 in stuff
$8 paid
16 transactions (had hubby and 6 kids in tow for a while
134 items
128 coupons used (ended in negative somehow and had to add items to
bring it positive)

I only went for the freebies as hubby has been out of work for 2 months. Boy, did I wish I had some money to work with. Hopefully it will come around again.

Shreveport,Louisiana-Decided to go to the 24 hour store even though it is 20 miles from my house, the regular store is 15. Got there at 3 am only to find out the store had closed for work on the floor, would reopen at 6 am. Keep in mind its a 35 minute drive because of side streets,so I did not want to go home.Went to Walmart, bought fish food and such, drove back to Kroger to wait it out.A very nice older man drove up and was waiting too because he wanted to buy things to cook for his grandkids in town for the day,we sat in the parking lot and talked until a store employee came and told us at 5 am that they were ok to open.

All together spent 80.06 ,but I did get 286.17 worth of groceries, this included things like meat and other things I did not have coupons for,so I am happy.4 trips to the car!! My feet are not happy,I am tired, but my grandkids are pretty happy with their snack choices today!!

I didn't do a ton of stocking up since we're moving cross-country in a few weeks...but I did get $58 worth of stuff for $5.38. So, 91% savings!

I got off work at 4 am and headed to 2 24 hour stores 30 minutes away. I missed the big rush of midnighters and both were well stocked. After that I stopped at 2 of my regular stores ( and one more later when I found a couple more qs lol) Only one store was poorly stocked but they are in the middle of a big remodel with the shelves all shifted. Staff was friendly but a bit overwhelmed ( I even passed by Walmart to see if they were busy and it just didn't seem like the hoard of people that are normally there!)

On to the savings:
OOP:$40.67
Saved:$311.49
Items acquired: 142

It was so fun! Although i'm sad I didn't meet any HCWers... :(
Now to try and get some sleep before 8!

P.S. Good job guys!

Amazing deals ladies. I arrived at my 24 hr store at 11:30 and left at nearly 1:30. Store was well stocked though someone beat me to the Eskimo Pies! Only 1 cashier on staff and he did great under the circumstances.

This is my first super double and I made a few mistakes like forgetting to hand over a few coupons.

total $133.53
paid 66.60 - so a 50% savings not as good as you guys!

It was nice to be part of the midnight crowd since I found what I wanted but on the negative side it got me wired and I couldn't go to bed until 3 a.m. With a very active 1 yr old and a hubby who's MIA due to his job I'm not sure it was a good idea since I'm feeling wiped out from my crazy night. Gonna try to catch up on sleep now that baby is down.
