Kroger (Texas/Louisiana) ~ Question: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go?

I've just got to say - wow! I am amazed at how well all of you did! And I am so incredibly jealous that I don't live where the Kroger Super Doubles were! Maybe corporate will see how much people loved the sale and will do it nationwide! Ahh - I can only wish!

I would. Would have you bought them if you knew they were 1.50? After buying four, they overcharged you the price of a gallon of milk. I know you saved a lot, but they still misled and overcharged you on those items. HTH.

All I can say is WOW....I was proud of my day...Spent 99.00...saved 114.00..but after looking at everyone else's savings?? I'm still an amature!!

On Saturday morning my husband and I got up and went over to pick up my brother-in-law about 5:45AM to head to the store on Beltline Road in Irving. The store was clean and the staff was friendly (but hey it was still early), and this is my usual store so I breezed thru easily.

Four different stores later and 23 different transactions, i was happy with our end result.

Total OOP: $83.93 (-30.00 in rebates) = 53.93
Total Saved $645.26

I didn't bother to count the items because I was way too exhausted, but it did take 4 trips to unload the car, and that was with 3 adults and a 9 and 7 yo helping...

Now I'm ready to start all over again!!!

i went to the Kroger on Westheimer and Mason Rd in Katy, TX and they were all so friendly! The shelves were not as stocked as i thought they should have been, but i was able to walk away with a bunch!

Totals:
Total of all groceries: $260
Total OOP: $35.xx (-15 rebates)= $20

I think i did pretty dang good!!! it was very exciting!

Me, my best friend, MIL and SIL all got up at 5 and were the first in line for our store to open at 6. I live in an area that doesn't have many couponers so there were only 3 other people there at 6 am. The other three were laughing about these "crazy coupon ladies" who plan all this stuff out and have it all organized by isle and etc. (little did they know I had a map of the store in my pocket).I got 123 items and used 123 coupons. Spent 54.13 oop (will get 10.00 in rebate back). My total before the coupons was $254.00.

I did have to go back today because one of my Jenni-O franks were out of date and to get my money back on 3 coupons that I forgot to give the cashier. So I got another 5.00 back from that.

We had a blast and now I'm just trying to get the energy for the mega deal.

Wanted to add, other than my trip went GREAT, was that I spoke to the manager at the Atascocita store where I shop. I told him I wanted to give props to the gals working early Sat a.m. Despite the fact there were only two of them - one at U-scan and one regular at midnight, AND the computers wouldn't double like they were supposed to, they were professional and kept their cool and were very helpful. He told me corporate handed down how many checkout people they were allowed to use, and they did $35,000 in redeemable coupons that day, but it was worth it. I did confirm that Kroger did indeed eat the extra dollar on each, and despite that still worth it. So worth it, in fact, they are going to do it again!

They will be better prepared next time. :D

Malibu - he didn't know when. I assume if they say they're going to do it again, they will double to $1.00.

I'll keep everyone posted if I hear something! Can't be too soon for me. :D

UGH!!!!! How did I miss this! I've never caught a super doubles event. Glad you guys seemed to snag some great deals though! Guess I'll need to keep a much closer eye!
