I went to the kroger off of 45 and loop 336 in conroe, and they were not ready for such a large turnout. There were lines backed up and only two lanes open plus self checkout. But it was worth the wait and time of prep.

OOP$61.96
187 items
Saved $389.52 in Q's

I hope they do that again.

Alexandria Louisiana store was well stocked. The only item I wanted but couldn't find were the Velveeta Shells and Cheese cups - they've been out every time we go lately -and I couldn't find Glade Carpet Powder . DH bought a lot of fruit and as you know - it's hard to get coupons for fruit - so my savings was 52% - My total spent was $77 and change and the total savings was $83 and change.

I also was lucky enough to meet another couponer, although not from this board.

Disappointed at the Rockwall Kroger store....lines were almost to the back of the store most the time I was there (11-1) and sooo many things out of stock. I asked when they would be restocking again and they said the trucks prolly wouldn't be back until 5ish. Why would they not restock throughout the day???? I still got a good amount of stuff, but left without a lot of things that I wanted!! I guess I shouldnt have waiting so long to go, but I was hurting this morning thanks to a visit from AF, haha! I should say that the cashiers were great and they had plenty, it was just wayyyy too many people there at once and I was hurting and so not wanting to deal with crowds, haha!

First trip
OOP= $99.95
Saved= $189.08
Items purchased: 100

Second trip
OOP= $104.57
Saved= 159.48
Items purchased: 88

Third transaction
OOP= $100.96
Saved= $195.70
Items purchased: 103

GRAND TOTAL
OOP= $305.48
Saved= $544.98
Items purchased: 291
That's a savings of 64%

I am happy with that since I got alot of the non free's. And I didn't take the time to do many of the printables. My 15 and her friend helped me and they did not get some of the right products. I really think I could have saved another $20-$30, but oh well. I appreciated their help. Needed to stock up since the kids have been out of school. I haven't really been shopping for about 2 months. Just a little here or there. I would post the picture, but I am still trying to figure out how to.

I went to the Kroger on Phelan in Beaumont at 1pm. Everything was still in stock. There were only 2 checkers open and the manager. The lines each had 3 people in it. There were MANY others with coupons from all walks of like. I talked to a few and none use the internet as a resource to find deals, let alone HCW. One of the workers in the freezer section came up to me and asked if he could help me find anything, I told him no, I was finding everything I needed. He told me that they have NEVER been as busy as they are today. I told him because of the coupons. He said that he heard that if it went well they would do it every once in a while to drive business. i am weird, but I felt all bubbly inside.

We went to the Kroger in Oak Forest (abt 7am) & I was impressed. Yes, they sold out of several things and had trouble keeping stock on some of the others but they were really trying. The cashiers seemed to be in great moods, taking it all in stride as were the other customers. They were doing a great job of keeping all the lines open and were rarely short of baggers.

One manager stopped me and asked if I was finding everything. He said, "It's just so hard to anticipate exactly what you're going to need" lol. But I don't think they realized just how successful it was going to be either. Those stockers were working really hard.

I wasn't looking as much for the free stuff, but an opportunity to get some things we buy that seem to never go on sale.

Total # Items: 151
Total OOP: $168
Total Saved: $258

That includes diapers & wipes, TP, Paper Towels & hygiene items.

I had a great day, thanks to all the research HCW members did! Thanks to all that checked and reported prices!

I didn't go until 9:15 this morning after a 8 am hair appointment. I went to the Pasadena store at Spencer and Burke adn they were pretty well stocked and I got most of what I went for. Most of the lanes were open and I was only in line for 10 minutes or so before checking out. No different than a regular trip for me.

I brought everything home and Hubby helped me to unload and he put everything away while I "rested". LOL! Then I headed to another Pasadena store to use a second batch of coupons and also did my regular shopping trip. That store was more crowded and I waited in line about 20 minutes before checking out.

I got about $218 in groceries for around $86. I was really pleased, as I did not only get the frees and I usually spend around $50 on a regular trip. It was a great day!

I thought about going again, but we are out of freezer and pantry space as we were already totally stocked. I hope Kroger doesn't wait another 10 years to do this!
