My totals (I think I'm done, but who knows? Maybe I'll go back out.)
Item Count : 390
$ Paid: $101.48
$ Saved: $737.57
$/Item: $0.26
I went to 4 different Krogers and did 16 different transactions between midnight and 2 pm today. I budgeted $120 for the sale, so I've still got a little jingle in my pocket! One transaction they actually paid me $1.94, I'm still not sure how that worked but she insisted. I've also got $27.50 worth of rebates to send off, and a $3 oyno left. Woot woot! |

| Re: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go? I got to the Garth (Baytown, Tx) 24 hr store about midnite, IMO they were poorly prepared. Only one regular checkout line open, the self serve (4) were open but a lot of shoppers didn't want to try & check out a big basket in the self serve line. Stock was already being depleted on some items by 1:30 am
(the dairy area was in pretty good shape, although the Eskimo Pie was already gone!) One other major problem was the stockers, some of them literally blocked the aisles with all the boxes while they are stocking. Almost like they don't want you to come down the aisle and interfere with their work.
(I realize in a 24 hr store this is the normal time to restock, however I wouldda thought the manager might tell the stockers something like, "heads up, we're likely to have a BIG crowd in here around midnite, these couponers are SERIOUS shoppers, be as helpful as you can working around them". Hey, I can dream, can't I ). I would guess a lot of folks spent twice as much time waiting to check out as they did shopping, it was a worthwhile 3 hour trip for me . |

| Re: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go? Thank you so much to everyone that helped put the spreadsheet together. It really helped me get my list sorted. There were only a couple of things on my list I couldn't get and I think that was because my Kroger doesn't stock them anyway. Shelves were almost full as they were constantly being restocked.
It was fun seeing so many people wandering around with coupons.
I did really well. Spent $32.85 and saved over $100 with my coupons. Total savings were 76%. I was delighted
Almost forgot to say...didn't even have to get in line to check out. The person ahead of me was just leaving.

| Re: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go? Wow...you guys have all done great! I haven't clipped coupons in over 4 weeks...:sad:..so I had to just rely on what I had in my binder.
Spent $62.15 and saved $110. Not nearly as impressive as the rest of ya'll.....but I can't complain!
I chatted w/ the floor supervisor and asked her if she thought Kroger will continue doing this from time to time and she said she thought they would, as it was a huge success. I went at 2 pm today and only a few items were wiped out.

| Re: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go? Hit the Kroger on Buffalo Speedway (the one competing with the new HEB) for the free cereal, rice krispy treats, and fruit snacks. BF & I got there at 11:45, and were out at 2:20 with 4 carts full. They were very well prepared, stock-wise, for the sale, although their cashiers were a little frazzled - but were still fantastic! It was fun to see all of the other hard-core couponers out and about at that time of morning!
Went out early this afternoon to pick up another 2 carts of things we hadn't had time to get last night. I haven't had a chance to tally up the receipts, but we got around $700 worth of products, and our out of pocket was $16.76, with $22.49 to send in for rebates. We really aimed only for the free or super cheap items. I know we got alot of overage on our coupons, as the clerks at 2am were just pushing everything through.
Here's a picture of everything crammed in the Jetta...I'm amazed it all fit in our tiny car! Kroger Super Doubles - a set on Flickr
Thanks to all who helped compile the great lists! |

| Re: Kroger Super Doubles - How did it go? My buddy and I started at 9:20 last night and finished checking out around 1:45. We saw about 20-30 other couponers, and we are rather small towners. I don't know about stock b/c we were the first ones there. Only 2 check out lanes, though.....at times lines were 4 people deep. I did 11 transactions.
oop-34.36
total saved 326.03
items-148
We had a system of numbered bags that corresponded with numbered envelopes that contained our coupons. As we took an item off the shelf, we placed it in the correct bag. This definately helped at the register. It was a long night, but, if course, a total rush! I went to bed at 5:00 am after unloading, and while I was sleeping in, my family ate a whole box of snickers and m&m icecream--I only had qs for 3 total. Please wait a few days before depleting my hard earned stock!! I have way too much stuff to hide from them!:hectic1:
