Kroger (Texas/Louisiana) ~ Special Sale: P&G Mega DEAL next week!!

ok, this is my first "blog" and my first real week of couponing, I'm still learning the lingo, so please be gentle if I speak in kindergarten talk.

My experience with Kroger and the $4. off non P&G products, You pay regular sale price, of course minus our downloaded coupons to the kroger card and paper coupons, and you have to buy other items that are not p&g to get $4 off. This is my 2nd trip, my first was at CVS for the ECB promos on the office supplies, how did I do?.......
(I needed bread, hot dog buns and bagels)
sara l white wheat 2.79
aussie hairspray 2.99
aussie shampoo and condition 2.99
cascade 3.99
puffs tissue 1.69
lenders bagels 1.99
kroger hot dog buns 1.00
kroger garbage bags 1.39

I used 2.00 aussie paper coupon on top of my esaver 2.00
1.00 off cascade paper , e saver .50
puffs esaver .25
with all the other kroger savings and the 2.00 off catalina (I think thats what its called) oynp I had my total was $8.18 after tax. I'm pretty proud of myself, and I'm so excited to really learn how to shop and save! Thanks everyone for connecting together in order to help our families have less stress because we are saving sooo much money on groceries!

I have a question- if I buy 10 crest toothpastes am I allowed to use 10 crest coupons i cut from the newspapers? Also, any ideas where to get Ivory coupons?

You will have to check with your store but most around here limit 3 like coupons.

My store will only double three like coupons but will take as many as I have at face value.

Well, I have no idea what happened with that previous transaction. I did my last q's and bought 10 more toothbrushes and toothpaste, pepperoni and a soda. I didn't get the $4 off. I bought the Oral-B Indicator that is on sale 10/$10 in Medium and Soft.

No, pgesaver coupons are one time use until they reset when this round expires and a new round get added.

A hint I would give the newcomers is that is to remind them of the following situations/deals:

Like is/was on the A1 Steak Sauce ... there is/was a tearpad for $2.00/1 bottle of A1 Sauce or Marinade.
*There is also a tearpad Q for $2 off ($5.00 or more of) beef when you buy (WYB) A1 Steak Sauce 10oz.

So, give the following example:
A1 Steak Sauce 10oz = $2.99 <2.00/1 Q for Steak Sauce> = $0.99
Beef $5.01 <$2.00/1*> = $3.01

So, you pay $0.99 + $3.01 = $4.00 for both the steak sauce and meat.

I mention this because now and then, you have Qs for both a qualifying item (the Steak Sauce) and for another item (the beef) WYB the qualifying item ... may as well get the most of your money!

It's fixing to expire, but I think there's one on the Fusion Razor, and Head & Shoulders ... coupons for the items themselves + Qs for xx product WYB that item (in this example either the Fusion Razor or the Head & Shoulders)!!

If I've done a poor job of explaining, maybe someone else can give a clearer explanation!!

when the 2.50/2 coupon comes out (if it comes).. I'm getting nail polishes.
