Kroger (Texas/Louisiana) ~ Special Sale: $5 off $25 of P&G items starting 12/26

I just got the new ad in the mail. Doesn't really have much as to the particpating items.

I was so happy to see cascade on sale this week and part of the P&G deal too. I needed it so bad, this is what I did.

Bought 7 cascades @ $3.99= $27.93
Used 7 .50/1 Mq doubled= -$7.00
P&G Deal -$5.00 instant savings
Total $15.93 OOP
Cascade ended up costing me $2.27 a piece

I have not seen any deals on this stuff in along time so I took advantage of it. I would much rather pay $2 bucks a piece than $4.50 a piece.
Wasn't sure if all the Q's would double but they did. I have never used that many like Q's in one transaction before and was surprised the system doubled them all. Maybe it's just a one time glich. :shrug7: The shelves were already getting bare so hurry if your in need of Cascade.

So you did not have to buy $5 in non P&G items to get the $5 off?

No, I just bought $25 of P&G products. I have the ad in front of me it says. "Get $5 off your total purchase instanly when you spend $25 or more on participating P&G items." using your plus card, limit two offers per transaction. It doesnt say anything about purchasing $5 in non P&G items. Did your Kroger tell you that you have to purchase $5 of non P&G as well to get the deal?

If you have an ad, look at the yellow tag with the fake bar code and the big "Get $5.00 Off." That's were it says "off non P&G products."

If you notice any P&G catalina's at Kroger say, "not redeemable on P&G products." Maybe, Kroger had to put it in the ad like that. If you don't have to buy $5.00 worth of extra stuff cool.

I got a killer deal on mine today. I bought the Gillette Body Wash (on sale 3 for $10.) I got six and used the $2 off 1 coupons from today's paper. Then, I bought the two Pantenes on sale, used the $3 off two coupon and had the bogo on my loadable coupons, so I ended up with about a $3 bill for everything after the $5 discount.

7 Herbal Essences @ $1.97 each
4 Pringles (bags) @ 2/$5
1 Downy @ 5.99

So that's $29.78, and no $5 off. :sad:

The Herbal Essences was on clearance, but HE was still part of the P&G deal. I used Qs on everything and the cashier seems to think that was the problem. I think I'll be having a word with customer service tomorrow. :hectic1:
