Kroger (Texas/Louisiana) ~ Good Deal: ALMOST FREE/Super Cheap Energizer Batteries!

I was doing the Mega Event Deal, when I came across the battery section!

They have the 4 packs of AA and AAA energizer batteries on sale for 5/$10.
AND they had $1 stickies on them! AND if that was not enough, hanging right above them was a sticky pad of buy 2 packs Energizer batteries, get one pack free!

I bought:

12 packs of batteries: $24 - 9 $1 coupons = $15

Then I used 3 Buy2Get1 coupons (she rang them up for regular price of $3.99), so 11.97 off of the $15.

Paid 3.03 for 12 packs of batteries!!! WHOOHOO!

They let you use 9 coupons on like-items??!!! Guess they forgot about their limit 3 on like-items policy! -- Good for you!!!!!
Or, did you do it in multiple transactions?

I have the "same" B2G1's from Fred Meyer (Kroger co.) and mine are only valid on 8ct AA or AAA's, 4ct C's or D's or 2ct 9V's. Double check that yours are valid on the 4cts. They may not be. Don't want y'all to get in trouble down there.

What's this about 3 like items? The three stores I go to will only take 3 if they are doubling or tripling, but I've never had a problem with multiple coupons for $1 off, etc. What's the scoop?

Yup, all at once. I never have issues with like coupons as long as I am not expecting them to all double/triple! I guess I have been lucky so far!

Double checked and it actually says:
Sizes: AAA-4, AA-4, C-2, D-2, 9V-1
Which is exactly what was on sale....... Now that I am reading this, do you think it means that I cannot use it on larger packages (if I find a deal that fits with it?)

Probably not. Look at the max value and you can tell whether you can or not.

The policy is they will triple or double three like coupons all others will be at face value. As long as they're not tripling or doubling there isn't a limit. And even if it is a value that triples and doubles you can use more than three but the additional ones will only be applied at face value. HTH

All the Kroger's one around me has a 3 like coupon limit, regardless if it double/triple or not. :frown:
